I have almost all the parts to add a factory transmission cooler to your 2.7 truck (I think it will work with the V6 as well). The cooler itself is a slightly used Toyota cooler but all the hoses, clamps and bolts are new Toyota pieces. This should allow you to add the cooler using all the factory bolt holes and require no customization. Located in central NJ $125 plus shipping or local pickup. It consists of the cooler with lower bracket, (I'm missing the upper bracket 32913-35090 which goes for around $19)
    32907-04020 tube sub assembly
    32943-04010 hose
    32943-35070 hose
    32943-35080 hose
90080-11371 bolt with washer (3 of them)
    90119-A0056 bolt with washer (1)
    90467-A0012 clip/hose clamp (6 of them)

Tempted to get this for my power steering. I have a manual so no trans cooler possible (without an external pump) but my power steering has no cooler to speak of.

Nice, so this is an OEM replacement of what comes on a factory 2.7? Please help me understand, or is it an upgrade, etc?

This is the oem factory setup. I was going to add it to my regular cab which did not have the trans cooler but ended up selling the truck before I got around to it.

I understand, I guess what I’m asking is does my truck have one? I just bought it a short time back and have not looked for it. But living in Texas and having the hot summers that we endure. I thought if it has the ability and it’s designed to be added but not there from the factory I would certainly be interested. I had my truck serviced today and I asked the tech who is a mechanic. And he said it looked to him like if it did it was running through the radiator. So basically I didn’t know if there was a situation where it was that predictable. Where you could tell me Elliott, it’s a 2.7 it doesn’t come with one. But it has the proper ports etc. etc. to add one or not. Kind of like with my fog lights being pre-wired but no fog lights there.

Take a look in front of your radiator and A/C condenser on the driver's side and look for this.

If it's there then you have the factory trans cooler, here's a factory diagram of the parts.

All the Automatic trucks have the trans fluid lines going into the radiator, the cooler is additional cooling which helps with towing or hot weather locations. The trans cooler might be a V6 only thing, I'm not sure. But you can add it easily to the 4 cyl trucks with the parts shown.
