Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
You really should have cropped it. But we're not going to shame you for thinking premium is better for your truck...

We're gonna shame you for *knowing* that premium does nothing and still wasting your money. lol $75.99 yikes, could have filled up your car and your stomach.

Is there truth to the myth that Lexus HP figures are done with 91 and Toyota figures are on 87?

Getting 25 mpg with winter formulated 87 I don’t need to spend more on premium.

If there’s some untidiness imminent I’ll fill up early but otherwise I’ll wait for the light in order to minimize old fuel in the tank. I’m not into the “fill it up at 1/2 tank” thing. This time around I put 2 in my back up and 19 in the tank. 21 gallons to go 527 miles. The deuce gets cycled once a month. I4 rules.

    Oh look, another mod....
I've driven my Taco until the "Miles to Empty" was in the single digits. I run it down for one simple reason: The cost of gas.

When I bought the Taco, I also got a Kroger backed gas/credit card that pairs with my Kroger rewards card. Anyone from Texas (or any state with a Kroger) knows that you can get up to $1.00 of a gallon of gasoline when you use the reward card. The more you spend, the more reward points you get.

Well, the gas/credit card automatically gives me .55 cents off a gallon of gasoline every time I spend $100 in groceries each month (It's easy to buy that in groceries a few times over).

I've been averaging .88 - .95 cents off of a gallon of gas. I top off of my tank (spare me the "you shouldn't do that lecture", I know, I know) each time I fill up and save $15 - $25 every single fill up. My last fill up was $2.08 per gallon x's 20.87 gallons. The price of gas without my discount was: $2.98.

Oh, and I always use 87 octane. The other stuff is for suckers.

Currently gas is $2.82 at my local Kroger. That's why living in Texas is awesome.

I never let my tank get below 1/4, all the sediments and dust and dirt and water and what-not ends up at the bottom and gets sucked into
your fuel lines... ( so I was told and I could be wrong )...

Never buy supermarket / costco gas either... they get all their gas from the grizzly remains of whatever is in whoever's tanker truck that contains
who knows what... ( so I was also told and could also be wrong )...

The price of gas is of little concern. If I want max fuel economy I'll dump my pride and joy and buy a prius,...in the grand scheme of things if a
few dollars makes the difference in my lifestyle I got no business living anyway... $3.00 a gallon or $4.00 a gallon the difference adds up to a
whopping 20 bucks on a tank of gas.... heck I drop that much on a few packs of smokes... duh ...

I just keep more than half a tank at all times to be prepared because I live in Montana, and as history has proved, shit happens. Especially shit that causes people to flock into gas stations as prices sky rocket and supplies diminish. Old fuel really isn't an issue. Use a fuel cleaner occasionally, a water remover, and let the physics do the rest to slosh it around in your tank. Old fuel is when it's been sitting in one spot, not moving.

I drive until the light is on, every time. Unless I'm travelling and I need to stop for other reasons. I've had 3 vehicles with over 200K and no fuel related issues. If there's sediment, I would think it would get stirred up every time you refuel. :notsure:

I thought Costco was considered "top tier."

This isn't the 70's anymore, the odds of getting crap gas is low from any place that has the volume to keep fresh gas moving in the pumps, be it walmart/cosco/sams/7-11....to name a few
