I'm not 100% sure but I think that applied if they opted out for 2020. Either way, he could have left last season but decided to come back.

Because money.... Piles and piles of sweet, sweet money. No other collegiate sport even sniffs the money surrounding football.

You didn't mention your AD. He went to Miami. Your current and previous QB shows that not all 5-star QBs are the same.

But on the other hand, UGA couldn't score a TD on your defense. If I had to venture a guess, my money is on CU to win the ACC next year. After seeing the amount of NIL cash being thrown around by the SEC, that's like being the tallest midget...lol

Apparently, Texas A&M’s 2022 recruiting class is set to cost the school’s boosters upwards of $30 million in deals for NIL when the prospects officially enroll.

This could quickly go very bad and tarnish college football, a great and storied institution. How long before we start seeing players sue for failure to receive the money they were promised, for boosters backing out when the 5 star flops. How long before the big uglies up front get tired of opening holes or pass blocking for millionaires while they receive very little or nothing at all.

How long before illegal activity follows?

Not sure where this will go but it's not going to be pretty and I won't be giving my business to the NIL sponsors.

They have the right to do this and I have the right to boycott those sponsors.

I'm not for NIL. I think the college football I knew and loved has been gone for a while now. I don't think it will bring the viewers expected in the long run

They're making the rules up as they go. Once you legalize one drug the police often look the other way to non legal drugs. Will be the same with NIL and wont be long before it turns into a cluster F.

If anyone here believed in the sham of amateurism before NIL then God help you now. Don't forget about the rinky dink game no one in the U.S. will tune into tomorrow with all those amateur college athletes playing for the down right rah rah of their beloved school. Only folks in Georgia and Alabama will watch this one. Ratings will be a disaster I tell ya.

Game will likely suck, ratings will not. College football, regardless of the quality, sells.

Usually I’d bet my boss money on any big game against bama. I will not bet because it’s always Alabama winning and me not realizing to stop betting against nick saban. With that said, Georgia.....get your shit together and knock them out

I guess in the next "Stop Alabama" playoff scheme TV ratings should be a considering factor in the selection of the 64 teams chosen for the playoffs.
