All in all what does the sensor really do as I don't notice much of a difference being on the bottom compared to the top.

Thanks. You aren't the first to comment on that. When I ordered the grill, the colored letters were an option. I'm really glad I did it. It helps with the Black & Blue theme of the truck. I think it was $32.99 for the letters?

I also found blue letters vinyl's for the tailgate handle:

Where did you find the decals for the tailgate handle?

The sensor (TSS) is for adaptive cruise control and emergency braking. It doesn't matter if it's on the top or on the bottom, because it projects a wide beam.

Blue, Do you have a link where you got the grill and letters? I want to get a heritage grill with matching letters for my Barcelona Red.

It says that this grille does not support the camera, but it looks like in your pics that you have the OEM camera mounted to the new grille. Can you explain how you got that to work?

Crap, I sent you guys the wrong links! Sorry about that. I got them on Taco Vinyl's website, not Tacoma Lifestyle:

Anyone have a justification to use the Tacovinyl instead of Mad Hornets? Is there an $70 + shipping cost difference? I know the answer is probably no because why would you buy both - but anyone have any negative feedback on the cheaper Mad Hornets grille?

The wait time for Tacovinyl is extreme.

thank you for that link to the OEM grill. My aftermarket grill has gaps and I hate it. Ordered it with the FREESHIP code.

Great find. Even looks as though it has the slot for the front facing camera….as many aftermarket’s do not.

After reading through this thread, I did some hunting for pro grill letters and purchased these for my soon to be arriving ‘22 BR Sport. Only $40.

Just got a Mad Hornets Pro grill in w/the Garnish plate for the front sensor for my 2020 OR. If no one already has by the time I fit it, I report back.
In the handling of the thing, the MH grill doesn't seem cheaply or poorly made IMHO.

I thought about the colored lettering, but since the paint shop down the road sells touch-up color mixed by the manu code, I think Ill just grab a few oz of 4V6 and shoot the letters myself.

I just purchased the OEM grille that's included with the TRD lift (I'm doing a 3" lift, so I didn't get the TRD lift) but don't want to buy the OEM garnish. How did the garnish fit? Any issues with the garnish?
