I was just approached by the Buyer of vehicles from the Toyota dealership wanting to buy my 2020 Tacoma TRD 4x4 for a 2022 everything the same except for Tan color which they don’t have anymore and same payments. Anyone ever do this? Their inventory is horrible to nonexistent. He mention he usually buys them at auction but that’s not happening due to COVID. I’m at dealership getting my Tacoma serviced for Zaktek which I was talked into- never again for Zaktek-SCAM

Lots of people get this msg from the dealer. Unless you really want a new truck and another 2 years of payments, dont do it.

The dealership makes a ton of money off these.

I have already been offered more than what I paid for my truck 1.5 years ago. While I would make money on the truck, I would pay more on the new one.

 

This is what they have in their lot and one other Tacoma

 

they need your truck. they make money on selling you a new truck, make coin on financing, make money reselling your truck at crazy inflated prices these days. If you don't badly want something new or upgraded there is nothing in it for you, everything for them.

I agree with you they don't need his truck, they think they do.
I've been approached by the jeep dealer like this every time I used to go in, they would even send me post cards with offers. Its all about them making $$

Yep! Just like realtors sending free stuff in the mail. They want to sell our house to make money.

OMG if I had a $1 for everything a realtor or one of those cash for your house people sent to me by mail, text, email, carrier pigeon or whatever offering to sell my house for me or buy it from me in the last ten years I'd be able to buy another tacoma cash.

 

Nope I’ve got #8 Super Pacific camper on the back of mine and it won’t fit. Don’t think it’ll be able to go where I want to go
