I had a MT front with bypasses and it performed well with my LT rear but the switch to LT front was huge performance boost IMO. Granted I have everything JDfab offers for the front of our tacomas and it just feels bulletproof to me. I’ve had several friends that have driven my truck before and after the LT upgrade and they are flat scared of how fast it can go now.

Thanks for the honest advice. After I finish my gussets, slide rack, inner fenders, lower pivots. I will feel it out to see if I want to just get a pair of ET coilovers and call it good or go LT. I will spend some time on it to see what is realistic for my expectations. I use it as a daily and still take it on a lot of trips so definitely can’t afford to work on it every day all day. It’s more of a weekend project thing.

Are those cheaper cans decent? the locked and similar are much cheaper compared to big names.

    Whole lotta stuff
They’re alright. The actual bumps themselves are quality, but the bracket with a U-bolt kit bumps too low for my liking, it only works well for OEM geometry SOA.

I’d still run Locked’s bumps, but with weld-on bump can instead.

Alright, finally caught up on post rona leave posts.

Damn, that looks fucking good and planted. Betty White keeping the name alive in style.

When my Super White really start deteriorating bad on the truck, Cement has always been a choice, that looks even better tbh. I may go blue though or a better white paint.

Some of them are beefier and adjust geometry slightly, or just add secondary shock mounts, that's the only things I can see them for. I agree though, I was originally looking at TCs back in the day, but this thread has changed my mind for the better. JD Pivots and possibly +2 on down the road for me is where I'd like to be at in the next 5-10 years.

i mean if you took care of the paint on your truck it wouldnt be that bad but you dont wash it at all and its made it worse...

A buddy of mine did them on his 4runner (total chaos) and his truck rode way shittier afterwards….not entirely sure how a lca along could cause that but who knows.

I got it professionally done last time and we found a bunch of bad spots where there isn't any clear coat. The paint code is notoriously bad. I'll get clay barred and ceramic coated once the salt is over and done.

If you have super white, there is no clear. Its a single stage.

Yeah, that's what I thought, just some patches are no longer glossy so wasn't sure how to explain. Perhaps the Primer is also white and that's what I'm down to? It's mostly on the bed sides, but I do have tons of little rust pin pricks along the front of the hood and on the trailing edge around the side windows.

I'm looking into ditching my Timbrens that I still haven't gerry rigged back onto the truck since the SUA swap and these smaller name cans seem like a good alternative without breaking the bank. I feel like rubber bumps < cans when it comes to hard hits, but I also don't know much.
