Is your taco stripped of an interior? I've never even come close to 22mpg :(

Then again I do have a shell on 24/7 and worn out steering which I'm sure is robbing me of alot

Nope it has its interior still and its on 33s, I'm just light on the pedal if I'm not wheeling and manual trans.

Interesting.... that gives me hope because I have yet to meet anyone lighter on the accelerator pedal than myself :laughing:I really need to finish fixing my truck and ditch the shell cause I avg about 16.5mpg (in town only)

The steering is bad enough I don't trust it for long trips on the hwy unless it's life or death I need to get on it lol.. so I have no idea what kinda mpg I could be getting that way

I would average 17-21 in this bad boy with the top on depending on summer or winter gas.

I got down to 16.1 the last few weeks, but that’s up and down the mountain, 4WD majority of the time with 12 dogs in the Gimp cage

Started climbing up again in the way back to Logan. I think I need to get the injectors cleaned or something.

correcting for tire size I got 15mpg driving the tacoma across the state in 3rd gear with the 35s and 3.91s lol

Best I ever pulled off was 21 roaming KS/OK/TX with 31s

Driving around all weekend with the missus she about shit a brick when I calculated the MPG and ended up with 13.3 lol

She felt much better when I forgot to count for the odo difference and the actual figure was 16.8... but still, her new hyundai santa fe with the 3.3 v6 is avg 22mpg and I was jealous

Thank you for the input... I must really be robbing myself hard with all the steering and suspension wear I've been too lazy to fix

did you see a difference with hubs locked/unlocked?

I pick up 1-2 mpg with them unlocked but a lot of people don't believe me lol

22 is nice but I can definitely see how that’s achievable! My v6 gets just under 20 but I don’t have a shell on mine and it has 265/75/16 tires on it
