Yup, she had a long and fruitful life.

 

She lives on in many other trucks.

 

I wish I would have kept all the armor. Would have saved me the time, effort and money to make my own.

 

we put most of it on my friend Joshes truck.

 

My dad saw a double cab first gen with a 4 runner front end and said it looked "killer"

I though it was badass too but hearing my dad say "killer" really threw me back

That conversion seems to work well on minitrucks but not so well on 4x4s for some reason.

EDIT: I think that reason is the fender flares.

Can't do it. Even without the ugly bumper. I say this while owning an AC with that conversion.

 

The skewp is the only thing worth adding.

I've got a pre-facelift 4Runner valance on my '98 Taco. I think it's an improvement, although it doesn't bolt up perfectly.

Maybe someday I'll a go so far as to take a picture of it.

Not gonna lie, I'm at least twice as lazy about keeping my facial hair trimmed these days for work. Not that they have any policy against it but I'm not quite so worried about looking homeless

Fellow peeps with 2UZ. I have a random squeak that showed up. It showed up after a bunch of snow melt and I hit a few puddles at a decent rate of speed. I don't have a front skid on right now, so am assuming that water penetrated the bearing(s) on pulleys/bearings on the front of the motor.

I did the TB/WP less than 25k miles ago and replaced tensioner/idler pully's and serpentine belt during the job. I just pulled the belt off and all pully's spin freely without any noticeable noise. Not really sure where else to look without taking everything apart. Could water have gotten in behind the TB cover?

 

I left my trimmer here at school when I went home last month so my face hair has been doing what it wants.

just gonna keep letting it go until it gets hot.

 

There’s a TSB for the belt squeak that includes a new tensioner and a/c bracket

do not know if it affects yours. But it affected my 05

Could be. I replaced the tensioner with the TB/WP not too long ago. The sound only started after hitting those puddles...
