Tesla style head unit

Anyone else have a problem with the tablet battery completely draining and then not turning on if you don’t drive your truck for a couple of days ?

 

I drive everyday. I haven’t had a chance to notice this. Does it come back on after a few minutes?

 

There is no battery in the head unit.

 

So why is it doing this ? I sent this question to a Eric weeks ago and like every other e-mail I have sent him it has been ignored...

 

I have to hit the reset button after the truck has been running for 15-30 mins

 

You should contact him on whats app everyone seems to get a faster response that way.

 

Mine doesn’t do what yours is doing but if I don’t drive for a few days mine does a hard start or reboot and wipes off any live wallpaper I might have installed

 

I have tried to both email and whats app to contact Eric and have not gotten any replies from him either. I’m beginning to wonder if they have more problems then they can handle with these units. I don’t have buyers remorse with my unit but customer service is definitely falling short of even helpful at this point.

You need to download the whatsapp from googleplay or the app store and use the number posted on the first page to contact hime. Its like a messaging system

Which input should the reverse camera be plugged in to on the harness?

 

I have an aftermarket reverse camera I have the trigger wired but the harness doesn’t say back or reverse

 

According to the instructions it should be plugged into the green rca plug marked CCD-V

 

just curious, i’ve seen a couple people mention instructions but i never received any instructions or links to instructions and have had zero luck contacting aucar support. Maybe someone that actually has functional links or documents could post them to the first post.

Nope, I got nada bro. I'm good on the install side of things I'm actually an MECP 1st class + cell + security certified installer ( the old cert system / levels ) dating back ...cough... to the late 80's cough ...so the installation is a non issue for me. I just thought it would help others to have any / all resources posted to this thread. The Android tablet side of things and all of the carplay / Zlink issues is the frustrating side for me, this thing has been a massive pain in the ass and even after Sergey's firmware it still has a couple of major issues that he had to direct me back to Aucar for but in 3 attempts to contact them including now via WhatsApp I've received only one auto reply and ZERO support. I can't even log into their site anymore it just keeps telling me my e-mail address is not valid. According to Sergey the MCU needs to be fixed / updated to correct the functionality issues I have but unfortunately that is not something he can help me with :/
