I've found them easier to put back on when they're frozen. They just kinda hold their shape when you take them off and then go back on easily

Very nice. The one downside to building right now is the price of video cards. An NVDA 3060 should be about $400, but you can expect to pay a significant amount over that if you want one. Or you can get on the list for somewhere like Best Buy and get one sometime in 9+ months. Buying a pre-built gaming system from HP or Dell (or the like) will get you the specs and graphics that you want with parts that are reputable enough and should last a while.

I would move the MLB up that list a bit. I usually would pick the processor and then the motherboard and get the rest that fit. The reality is that 99+% of the stuff out there will run 100% of what an ordinary person would use. Some elite gamers might notice a slight difference in FPS, but that's about it.

Same, except mine was blue and I was running a Gigabyte MLB and AMD processor. Don't remember which one.

I'm still amazed at what people are paying for stuff right now.

    This guy gets it.

    Yep.

While true, not many people will go this route. Something about reluctance of new tech. It's a fundamentally different way of doing home computing.

I don’t trust the market. It likes to stair step on its way down. Will wait to end of week before I conclude it’s stabilized and up somewhat.

As for the AMD vs Intel discussion, I used to build all my PCs with AMD. Solid performance with a much more wallet friendly price tag.

Intel pays a dividend and AMD does not. Despite my liking AMD, I own stock in Intel. They, and all other chip manufacturers it seems, have taken a beating. At the end of the storm, I think they will emerge as still being the dominant players and therefore is worth a serious look at adding to the portfolio. Its a long term play that allows you to collect a dividend in the meantime (Not financial advice; you do you only).

I know why BBIG didnt run yesterday, people fat-fingered an L in place of the I

wish i had BBLG when that happened

im starting to think BBLG is a safe long term hold for random pops like that. its happened every few months.

new plan, Buy BBLG at 3.50 or less and wait for it to hit $5

    rinse and repeat

What about one of these pre built PCs that have the Nvidia card? They’re cheaper than the one I built on the site.

    looks nice

need to check which MOBO it has and if you can add more RAM. Also, is the 16 GB memory a dual channel or single channel? my guess is dual

you'll want more RAM even for a non gaming PC.

definitely a good PC for that price though
