Actually ordered before those videos came out…but I hate how first gen looks outside. Second gen got refinement it needed.

I’ll be doing this on my third engine

Hey guys, I've been getting some vibrations when I get up to 100kph. It only starts around 100 and goes away around 105. I don't think its tire balance related, because it also happened with my Summer tires. It's not a violent shaking, just a vibration, with no associated sound. Any ideas?

Convert the 86 to 6-bolt, same as the Taco.

get 16" watanabes wrapped in 35" BFG KO2s. Single rim and tire to worry about.

    Curse it right to hell

I feel the vibrations in the wheel, shifter, and the seat. It's too fast to switch to 4wd when it happens, and I haven't gone out just to test it yet. I've actually never gone 100 in 4wd before. I haven't replaced the bearing, and really hope that's not it. I thought that vibrations from the needle bearing were at lower speeds.

…and your sure it’s not tires or balance?

I think we're talking about 2 different vibrations, but if you're using tools that take D cells, I'm not sure what to say about that but, wow.

Not 100%, but I thought I felt it with my other tires on, but at 90, not 100.

    Check build thread!
It either needs rocker arms or a battery. Not very reassuring that it could be one of those two and they don't know which.

Vib’s can be a real bugaboo to figure out. I just started checking one thing at a time before I got it dialed in. (Performance car after an engine/drivetrain swap) Mine turned out to be a couple of things.

That says more about the dealer tech doing the diagnostics... And which battery, since there are two?
