Yeah that little trailer was in a black hole behind my truck. I never once saw it when pulling it home after buying it.

Got this spare carb rebuilt with some across the pond parts. The accelerator pump was hard as a rock. The rest looked pretty good.

Prefer to take ‘em apart & dip ‘em. Brings back bad thoughts of when the wife found some of her missing tea balls. :anonymous: But if it ain’t broke no need to fix it. The good brass floats are gettin’ hard to find.

And I agree, can hardly find the brass floats and the non rubber tipped needle. I can't stand the ribber tip.

Yessir got the AC Delco stuff. Was in like a 3 gal. container til it started eatin’ thru. Think I’m on the third container but still the same chemical. Likely go to jail if I ever took the stuff to Cali.

Thats based with acetone. Good stuff, but Acetone is a lot cheaper.

They need a better QB. Bobcats push it into the street. Grader/loaders push it back on the sidewalk. Stupidity goes on until it’s finally removed. Work smarter not harder isn’t in the playbook within city limits or so it seems.

Is there a different thread for backhoes, skid steers, mini excavators and the like or is this the place to be? Ha

If it has an engine (or needs one) you are in the right place.

Nice! I’m doing some shopping and plan to read along and contribute when I do make a purchase. We’re looking at some plots of land and plan to finance the land and then pay cash as we go to develop/build the rest! Need a Backhoe or the like to dig/grade/post/etc. as a one man band. Howdy all :D

I keep looking for a cheap old backhoe -- maybe a 50 year old Dynahoe since they are Detroit powered. Shouldn't cost too much to get it going...

    Confused.

How is this spindle assembly able to be lubed?

Fortunately, the bearings were savable, but I have no idea how new grease is able to be pumped into the spindle housing. It was obvious that these were never greased beyond leaving the factory. The top bearings were shielded on one side and the bottom bearings had no shields.

The bottom bearings were dry as a pop corn fart but seemed very smooth after I cleaned and reassembled with new grease.
