    34x10.5xR17 KO2 is the answer for a true 33” diameter with a width between 265 and 275.

If you would have stayed with 16" rims no cab mount chop required I can guarantee it .

    1. "Absolutely no rubbing at all! Except in this one specific situation..." So you do rub.
    2. Folks who never flex their suspension with aired down tires.

I don't for one second believe that you can be rub free on 285's without a CMC and UCA. Hell, I rub my 265's off-roading.

I agree with everything you said.

As much as I want 285s, it’s not happening. I’m not chopping that cab mount. I know for sure it will rub on Cab mount when wheeling. I’ll just get some 275s when my current tires wear out.

    How?

265/70/17 is the same diameter as 265/75/16.

285/75R16's here on 16x8's with 0 offset...haven't even been off road yet since getting the new tires but they rub the driver side cab mount on the street with Icons set at a little over 2" lift. Saw a ton of people saying they didn't rub with 285's but have come to the conclusion they're either liars or have their coilovers cranked up way too high

My 265/75/16s look great under the 2" 5100s, but I'm thinking 33" 255/85/16 would look even better!

My 265/70/17 look great under a 2” lift as well, not small at all.

What did you end up doing? 265 or 285. I have the same setup. 2019. 16x8 wheels with 0 offset and 4.5 inch backspacing. I have a 2 inch lift in the front and 1.5 in the back. Currently have 265/75/16 but looking at 285/75/16 next. If you went 285, did you have to do any trimming or a cmc? If not trimming or cmc, did you have minimal or zero rubbing? Thanks.

Despite what you see in this forum, I would say that the VAST majority of Tacoma owners fall under point #2. And there’s nothing wrong with that. So, it’s refreshing to get answers to questions that the vast majority of owners want to know, instead of having every answer assume that you rock crawl your way to and from work 5 days a week.

285/70R17 Wildpeaks 0 offset. No rub. 3" Ironman lift w/ UCA's. That extra inch matters (That's what she said).

    Ironman 3" lift

    Nadda.
I have the full setup though... Not like the 2.5's most people are running with AAL's or something. It's all ironman.

I’m running a 2.5” lift with JBA UCAs and your post inclined me to get 285/70/17 tires with wheel specs: 17x8.5 0ffset and 4.75 back space.

Would those specs be ok? Thanks again and awesome Taco!!

    2" Eibach lift ,285's
285's and you'll rub offroad, but you can avoid rubbing on the CM if you choose around "0" offset. This is only a tradeoff however, as you will rub somewhere else. Throw on the 285's and just deal
