Eh the cost part is debatable and probably a moot point. A good wrap is still several thousand dollars, they're alot more expensive than you'd think. It's still a shitload of labor.

$10k+ for paint, $3k+ for a good wrap.

I think the consensus is wrap it. You have many other options if you go the wrapping route. There are some cool matte finishes, unique colors, and when you're tired of it, or plan to sell it, pull it off. There is a guy on this thread that wrapped his Tacoma to look like the body is completely decaying with rust. I tried looking for a pic but cant find it. Not something I would do, but honestly it looks kind of cool.

Update. Found at least a rear pic. Like I said, not for me, but cool nonetheless.

For the life of me, I still can't believe how expensive wraps are. Before recently, I figured they were like a couple hundred bucks. lol

I agree. I think to have it done properly, it's not just about getting the wrap right, but the paint has to be prepared as well. Pretty labor intensive process from what I hear.

I get that, but the actual product itself doesn't cost that much. You can't tell me there's like $3-4k of labor.

Have you ever wrapped something? its a pain in the ass. Any screw up and you have to redo that panel, get some dirt under the wrap and your screwed. Good adhesion is a big priority too, if you dont prep every single part perfectly then the wrap can lift and bubble on negative curves.

Wrapped, no. But back when I was in the mustang scene in my younger days, I definitely paid for, and installed, my fair share of graphics (unfortunately lol). I'm very familiar with the process of installing vinyl on cars.
