Brute Force Fab official on TW

The dirt is what alerted me to how much abuse that area takes. My tires pick up gravel like crazy

 

I have had mine a little over a year. I used Rust-oleum truck bed coating. It has seen it's fair share of gravel roads and sand. It still looks good.

After running the swingout for a week to see if I could deal with it, it was a simple decision that no, it was a hassle for me as someone that opens their tailgate a dozen times a day. So I ordered the same sleeve for the spindle he uses, painted it, and now I have the option of going with or without the swingout. Swapping takes all of about 10 minutes, and I get my camera back.

On an aside, there's now a company that makes a basically plug and play camera relocate that I ordered, so when the time comes to use it, just swap plugs and call it good

I have the 4 position connectors but I'm so damn swamped I just can't open up another product for sale. But maybe next year if I get my s together. I don't have the 6 position connectors and not sure which trucks are six (mine is a 4) but it doesn't seem too hard to put together a combo cap + plug and play natika camera adapter.

That kit does come with a camera but it's at least twice what it should cost.

 

Also, I'm hopefully going to BFF tomorrow so if anyone in so cal has product ready, there's a chance I could be your mule. Stoked to get my bumper and meet Billy.

Anyone happen to know the 7/4 pin plug which fits into these? I assume they are all the same spec?

 

The 3rd gen bumpers are designed for them.

 

So, I bought a 3rd gen Tacoma 7/4 plug and it just barely doesn’t fit.

also my 2nd flip up plate holder wasn’t a direct bolt up. I drilled it out so it fits now but the plate lights are so far back they don’t really illuminate it. Which I expected.

Given my trouble with the plug I wonder if maybe the answer is to just flush mount the plate with a bracket to reposition the holes. But it would be nice to use the hitch for bikes if I wanted to.

Anyone have a flip up they like?

Question for anyone who has the brute force HC rear with swingouts, ideally on a 2nd gen:

have you ever replaced your tail lights? I was considering changing mine out but it seems like the swingout bearings/mounts would get in the way of removing or installing tail lights, since it's fairly close to the installed tail light assembly.

gonna try to remove my current ones tonight, so if no one has an answer by then I'll find out and post up the results.

 

That's a good question. I should probably order up a new passenger rear before my bumper gets done. The current one's held on with black duct tape.
