Huh, that’s been up for awhile

 

Good news!

 

I finally finished the damn thing. It’s from a 302 v8, 1970 Ford Ranchero.



Before, it’s the right hand valve cover in the pic.

I just picked it for the color.

But now I'm curious if I can find a shitbox you don't want...

 

He's got a Jeep, that's a pretty tough act to follow for shitboxes.

Started dry fitting the plumbing. Gonna be tight, but its within code requirements.

 

And because I am extra, I installed the entertainment screen from a Boeing 747 into it too. And I made it work. It runs off a 12v battery bank and an Amazon Firestik.

 

Fantastic craftsmanship. Looks good man. Excited to see the final product.

Drywall is fun, I got really good at it repairing my mistakes.

 

I originally was gonna put the washer hookups on the side wall, but was afraid someone later down the road would hang a picture or something and drive a nail through a pipe by mistake. So I put it on the wall shared by the closet. Gonna have an access hatch in the closet with ball valves on the supply lines so I can turn the water off without moving the machines if I have to.

 

I think code is putting metal flashing on areas where romex or plumbing runs through the studs

 

Yeah nail plates is the term. I wont have many to do. But they just go on the stud, not over the entire cavity so its totally possible to puncture a pipe.

 

You doing a 220v hookup for the dryer?
