Just some tips from experience, you don't want to learn these the hard way!!!

I had to post this as it's been quite some time since we've had a stretch of extreme cold, and many new to the region and younger homeowners may not realize it can get this cold in MD or what it means when it does. Car batteries on the edge of failure, older, or haven't been properly maintained will fail to start your car after a single digit night. If your car battery is original or hasn't been changed in more than 4-5 years, have it tested at least or just get a new one now. It's cheaper than a towing bill to get it done while missing work to do it!

I guess UPS dropped it off a 2 story building or something otherwise I can’t see how they bent it…

I wouldn't heat it as it could mess with any tempering that was done for strength. Best to get some leverage and use some good ole fashioned elbow grease

I had a similar issue like this… best bet would be to call a few local metal fabricator shops and see if any of them have a hydraulic press. It’ll bend out with a nice slow and strong force. Definitely agree and would not add heat.
