    Oh I did!

This is both front and back blocks with the connecting bridge between them, most tests say that it's not necessary to have the back block though unless you're doing pretty serious mining, which I'm not really planning on doing but the point of this build was to be a little extra so I went with the GPU sandwich mostly for visual reasons.

I currently as you may be able to see have heat sinks on the factory back plate with a fan sitting on top of those and two fans underneath blowing up to the card temperatures stay acceptable.

Yeah, look at my edit lol. The pic didn't load at first.

The EVGA cards have some of the worst memory temperatures though. Never a bad idea to have the better backplate or at least to use really good pads. Have you seen this stuff, the K5 PRO Viscous Thermal Paste? You use it instead of thermal pads for much better results. https://geni.us/a3DZb

I couldn't keep my 12700K cool with a NH-D15. Food for thought. I think Noctua will come out with something else in the near future because the beast doesn't cut it anymore. My Ryujin II 360 easily cut 15-20 c off my overclock temperatures.

Yeah, thought about subbing the NH-D15 for LFII 360 with swapped out fans (NF-F12)
I see the Ryujin comes with Noctua fans but that thing is expensive..

Other thing with the NH-D15 is I'd have to change out my RAM. Prob Vengeance LPX (3600 C16) vs the Vengeance RGB (3200 C16) Pro I have now..

That leakshield has been hard to find. I looked for a while before I settled on the corsair xr5 pump res combo.

I'll post more pictures tomorrow, but I just wrapped up my first custom water cooled build!

    A7F4401F-C98B-4954-AA17-BE8DBA65D609.jpg

I learned that radiator fins bend if you breath on them, XSPC fittings and ZMT are a brutal combo for my fingers, and that my GPU went from 78c to 33c running AOE3 DE cranked.

I have to dial it in yet but I already turned my fans down and can game with virtual silence.

What made you choose this chair over the other options in its price bracket?

Im in the market and the $300 price point has a lot of options.

I liked the look and it looked comfy as hell. I was not disappointed. It definitely is better built than those POS gaming chairs that have the arms rip in 2 months because fake leather. I recommend it, and the rollerblade wheels I posted as well.

@scottstrong89 this is the thread :D

Also, pretty close to being done with my water cooled build. Here's a link to the build thread if interested: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-3d-printer-build.748529/page-2#post-26749680

Waiting on a controller to arrive to control pump speeds based on temps, as well as some RGB strips to help shine through the tinted glass side.

A few more items to complete the battle station but once complete I'll be dialed for SolidWorks and gaming.

Thanks! I wanted it to look cool but mostly I wanted better thermals. Man I'm impressed with how much cooler my GPU is now and my system as a whole.

My MoBo is known for hot af VRMs so taking heat out of the CPU is likely helping my MoBo too

Anyone have a 240hz monitor and think it's worth the upgrade over a 144hz one?

    Montana_Actual [NO SOUND]

RMA'd my EVGA 3080ti FTW3 for an ASUS ROG Strix one. Huge difference in temps and noise. That said, ASUS RGB sucks. Want to disable RGB with anything ASUS? Better off unplugging something or removing it entirely vs. using their shit bloatware. I even did the hybrid upgrade to the EVGA card and used better thermal pads. If I remember correctly, the backplate wasn't even attached to anything... I could be wrong tho. But the ASUS card has great thermals and the backplate is actually functional.

Personally, no. If what you play is maxed out at 144hz and you can get more, maybe. If what you play is some very competitive shooters or something, bigger maybe. It all depends on you personally, but the "blindfold" test Linus and others have done has proven most can't even tell the difference.

@Montana_Actual It's interesting because I mainly play Rocket League and CSGO both running at 300+ fps and my roommate in college had the Alienware 240hz one and damn it looked crispy.... but as always looking for excuses to spend money on the gaming setup

Soft tube loop ftw. So much nicer and a very nice GPU setup to boot. Looks great. You got a PCPP parts list?

If you want to see some insane rigs, look up what the DCS guys are running. These dudes not only have insane rigs to run VR, they 3D print F18 cockpits and map the different switches to the game. Next level. I thought some subbed to this thread may appreciate it. Before you trash talk his monitors remember duder is running a VR pit and his cockpit is mapped in frigging game!

lol, then yes. I'd give it a shot. You referring to the 27" alienware? I RMA'd my 38" ultrawide and the one I was sent has been flawless. They handled the RMA very well and also very quickly. (Unlike Western Digital who still has my 10TB Black HDD after 3 months). I caved and spent entirely too much on an 8TB M.2 because of it. My Previous 4TB blue was flawless, but full. I contemplated getting that 27" alienware (whatever the 240hz one is) as a secondary screen but like an idiot ended up spending more on an LG C1. It's meh.
