Oh I'm not prematurely bumping anything lol I want all the travels. I was specifically referencing their LCA design as compared to other such as the SOLO for ground clearance. JD was a happy medium with still having a lot of beef. But yes those that buy ANY long travel kit and limit the travel because they don't want to cut isn't taking full advantage of what they're meant for and I agree with you on that.

Well I'll be damn didn't know ya'll had an Ontario in CA good to know.

Six or so years ago there wouldn't have been any products from Dirt King, JD Fab, or Total Chaos Race kit - now is the best time.

I don’t disagree with that point. But the wait for stuff right now is nearly unbearable lol. I’m doing my first LT build and I’ll be lucky to see my shocks by April when I would like to start.

I started buying parts 2 yrs ago and am still driving mine just waiting till I have absolutely all my i dotted and t's crossed with parts, potential parts, metal, etc before we start the tear down and rebuild which is going to end up being a few months more than likely.

Nice. Luckily I have another go-getter regular cab that's not bad on small trips. I wouldn't have enough space to store the parts if I tried to do a full build since my truck is only the original frame and cab at this point.

Gotta make room for what's important. In my defense though it isn't a full build it's just the firewall forward. The rear is donish and will get redone but some other little projects will be done in between.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
Harry, Jesse and Dave + crew...are the real deal. Harry, we don't text or call anymore. Too cumbersome. We have an Elon-brainwave wireless communication network for him to shoot down all my hair- brained ideas. I digress...

Brake lines? JD will make whatever you need or have stuff ready to go now. Last time I was there, Jesse had his own Amazon-esqe shipping work area going and all the parts trolleys were loaded up with goodies ready for their forever homes. They don't mess around.

Seriously, JD...I trust them with my life. Cannot over emphasize how good of a company they are when it comes to doing it right. There's others that still have this ethic, but it's becoming less and less prominent.

I right there with you bro. I’m a little jealous. If I didn’t have a family that would be the life.. minus being a YouTube douchebag promoting Marlin Crawler..

Ha! I know. Im a knife maker, and tried making a couple vids, then said fuck it. I was ai6ck and tired of acting like i cared that someone was watching. So, i make my knives in peace, and dont spend half the time recording it.

But this thread did come to mind when i saw what was going on in the vid. made me wonder.

We make our own Brake quip lines at our shop in Florida. Have them in stock and if we don’t have your length can make custom length at no additional cost.
Crown also makes good lines and are the standard for lines to adhere to.

That is great to hear. They look very capable and it is interesting to run a tire designed for rock crawling and made in Japan. I am excited to try them out.

This is exactly what I did after getting ghosted by Wyatt. It worked out tho, as I learned a lot along the way and can say that I did it myself. I have a spreadsheet of part numbers for what I used in my 3-link and can email to anyone who is interested.

This was my experience with Mike. I was one of the first people installing the kit on my own (in my garage and not a shop). I texted him a lot throughout the process and he was always quick to respond, even on a few weekends bc that's when I had time to work on it. He even came to my house during the install to see how it was going and look at what I did to notch the motor mount around the steering shaft. Maybe at the time there were fewer kits out in the world, so fewer questions coming in. I've shared my experience and honest opinions on this thread for months. All in all, I'm happy with the kit. It performs well and feels solid. Lightyears better than my previous setup. Like everyone else who bought RCLT, I was upset about the lack of communication while I was waiting for it. No excuses for that. My experience with Mike's support on install was very good tho. I'm not an influencer, you tuber, or professional truck builder/fabricator. I'm a hobbyist and very much learning as I go.

I know I said this before, but I am glad you got a response and help from him. When I asked for input on the install, I was told someone would get back to me, no one ever did. We ended up having to machine down the steering rack insert to fit properly.
