There used to be 2 others in town with me, one was a sport, the other was a access cab. The sport was a lease that got turned in, and I have not seen the access cab in awhile.

Have you had a quote to do a color change? I doubt you would want to do it after that.

I think the color change idea is awesome but however talk to a body shop about it once.
When you get the price you won't like it. Also no good body shop will do one unless it's done correctly. They don't want you showing your car or truck to people and admiring the finish then you open a door or the hood and it's a different color inside. That cheapens their reputation.

I wood never buy a car that I couldn't live with it's paint job. I almost ended up with a new truck with freckles but the final inspection I told em I couldn't live with that being a new vehicle and all. They offered to repaint but I declined and the dealership ordered me a new one. I couldn't bear the thoughts of overspray and a shoddy cheap repaint job

That was a thing on 60's. 70's to some 80's cars but look out trends come back around usually for a bit sooner or later. Then they fade away again.

painted alot of cars over the years and to repaint a new one and cut in everything would require alot of time and to do it correctly requires removal of all emblems, lights, ets, would cost between 4-8k for a good paint job, is it worth it?, No IMO..the paint alone for 2 stage would be around 1500-2000 plus materials. save your money and invest in the market or real estate.

Yup. Wrap will be cheap (though still pricey to do right) and it will protect the factory paint somewhat (again, if done right).

There's a Tacoma on IG I see a lot that's wrapped in a really great yellow and it looks fantastic.

I’d wrap it if I were you. Saves yours the cars value and you can change it if you get tired of it

Buy it, then rattle can it in the color of your choice. It'll be low cost and you can change the color as you wish as often as you want.

Seriously, don't mess with it. To give you an idea on repaint cost. I had a motorcycle tank that needed paint. I had completely stripped all the previous paint. It needed prime, color and clear. I was quoted $750 from a body shop to spray a single color. This was in 2011. Costs have risen since then.

For a complete and thorough paint job, then look for several weeks in the shop and close to $10K. In a nutshell, the truck is disassembled, sanded, body panel repair, sanded, prime, sanded, color, wet sand, color, wet sand, clear, wet sand, reassembly. Depending on the chosen paint, it may need oven cure.....more cost.
