The sit rep for rides is no different than the market for a ticket to a desirable sporting event. Face (msrp) means nothing.

The price was set correctly if there is one seat (or car) left unsold at face off.

Thanks! I’m loving the truck! Working on some small customizations now.

2021 Tacoma SR5 3.5L 4WD pretty basic features $42k. Local shortage of new trucks means dealers can have a pretty big markup and don't have to negotiate price for buyers in Alaska.

Good old Kendall, see they did not change in 10 years. Does their service still complain when you ask them to do a TSB?

Honestly wouldn't know. I bought my truck with 14 miles on it and had a grinding noise coming from the front driver side so I took it in for them to look at it and have heard crickets since. Very disappointed that my truck didn't even make it to 200 miles before I had an issue. Kendall gave me a hard time about getting a rental car from them, and has been impossible to get updates from since I dropped it off Monday. Just got my Toyota survey emailed to me and I am probably going to give it low scores across the board from this experience.

Do it. Bug them daily about your truck.
They are benefitting from being the only game in town.
I had an 05 TRD OR. Used to take it to Kendall for warranty work when I lived in Anchorage. Took in for a collapsed tailgate. Took a call to corporate to fix it under TSB.
I miss AK, do not miss lack of choices.

I bought my 2021 DCSB SR 4wd tacoma from Lou Fusz toyota in St. Louis, MO.
Paid MSRP for $34.5K with no extras, included delivery. This was in Sept 2021 however.

    You're welcome!

Don't feel bad about what you've paid, especially if you plan on holding on to the truck for a significant length of time. The "extra" cost you may have remorse about is insignificant if you amortize it over the length of time you will own the truck.
I have to ask what "Road and Bridge" are?

Do I get the Brooklyn Bridge and it's approach roads with this truck?

Has to do with building projects in my state I believe. To be honest, in other markets I may care, but this has been such a nightmare and waiting game to find anything other than a 2wd SR5, so I don't care too much about that stuff. This is one of the only dealers in my area who will do MSRP, and I knocked the 2k dealer package down to 619, so I am counting this as a win right now. I wanted a TRDOR but this is a good consolation prize.

My favorite is the "other", like at least the other ones have a description, the "other" could be anything. Which means, it's likely nothing.

I feel soo dumb, I paid 36,500 (msrp 36,700 with the crap they add) + ttl for my 2022 dclb sr5 2wd. I did have a trade in that I got good money for but still. I should have waited a couple of years. Buyers remorse kicking in

What gets everyone is those mandatory additional option fees that aren’t removable. Sometimes you don’t even want them but it’s the price you pay for wanting a truck. They know what they’re doing

My dealer agreed to remove the port installed options from my build, saving me like $1500. Some dealers can some can’t. Worth asking.

I think it’s a clout thing with port. Like if they’re a massive dealer then they can say “sorry my customer doesn’t want your junk, GST”

    Yep.
Did not want Predator steps or Console safe. Or premium Touchscreen.

Brand new member here. Last week I picked up a 2021 Army Green, TRD sport, 6ft bed, pretty much loaded w/4500 miles on it. I found the window sticker and turns out I paid $100 under the MSRP ($47,100) on the truck. I remember a time when picking up a one year old vehicle was the sweet spot of price reduction while maintaining warranty and only being exposed to a single Illinois winter. I've just realized I joined the "get off my lawn" club.
