Was paged out this morning at o4oo for a "Smoke Check"

It was steam coming from a manure pile.

Sometimes the jobs you dont get end up being the biggest blessing. Keep the faith brother.

 

So true, I've had friends try to get me to come to bigger places to work, they've shut down and lost their jobs. So glad I didn't go.

 

Vise handle I like to use. Two options for speed or torque. Much better than the longer factory handle.

 

Finer threads on the newer Kurt vise. Hammering no longer required. Not that I ever hammered on a handle. Someone in the past put the whammy on this one!

 

Your both in our thoughts. Just have to keep trying. I have been discouraged more than once while job searching. My other half (wife) help me keep my chin up and just keep on trying. Encouraging.

 

What’s the small black piece used for? Our vise(s) have the groove but I’ve never seen that piece.

I mostly use the aluminum end of the stainless hammer I made with the sorry knurl

 

After a full day of working on it, I just finished the square footage for the sidewalks. That absolutely SUCKED.

Great question Creed! I didn't know for a few years until one of our supplemental/contract machinist showed me. It's a stop for the back vise jaw!
