For the most the thicker the material the longer the pause on each side

That comes with time under the hood

Long ago before working on the ARK I was taught a vertical up Tee Joint triangle Start in the root of the joint right or left side does not matter which is easier for you .

right left up in the center repeat as needed knowing that the closer you get to the top the hotter things will get nothing wrong with stopping and letting things cool.Water falls do happen that is what grinders are for.

work on your tie ins when your good with those the rest is just practice.

Just for you, vertical up at 67amps.

30 degree angle, weaving left to right, and pausing by literally telling myself "pause" when I hit each side -

    20220111_095335.jpg

Surprised how freaking nice it came out (couldn't get all the slag off) -

    20220111_105932.jpg

Going flat, I run it at 120amps and it is stupid nice -

Grinder with a semi stiff wire brush is the choice of 9 out 10 pipe welder helpers for slag removal!

Your in school get the feel for what is to hot and to cold remember the amperage is just ball park unless your using a weld procedure and a calibrated machine.

If you have a calibrated machine the sticker should be on the front with a date and who did the calibration.

know the difference when you make mistakes and correct them .

We all have bad days it happens!

As mentioned, all settings done manually!

Found the right amperage today after 2 attempts yesterday at 75 and 70amps.

That vertical is close to what it's supposed to be. Definitely not a bad day at all!

Those chain motors can't be cheap... only ones i have seen have been for mobile productions and went intp a road case at the end of the show.

Those racks are going to be worth it.

Now if you can figure out an easy way to move a couple pallets of CO2 tanks under the stage... lol.. love cyro fog but hate moving the that many tanks

They’re expensive as hell lol. 16 motors was $52,000

Yeah, my boss has most of his smaller motors inside road cases but these 1/2 ton motors are heavy and easier to deal with in this style bin.

I think he’ll be happy with them.

hahaha anything can be made with enough time and resources. Moving tanks sucks lol

I finally finished a bin today. Now that I know what I’m doing after building 1 I’m hoping the next 3 go a little faster haha

Test fitting motor into each slot. Good to go

Holes drilled for bolt on casters and welded on tube to the bottom to be able to self center stack these things

Drew up a couple files to give a little flare to the bins. My Boss’ company name is Stage 13

Looks awesome, but please, if you post more pics of these, have the expanded metal all go the same direction, my ocd would kill me, haha

hahaha thanks. The blue one belongs to a different company so I thought I’d run the expanded metal the other way so my boss’ bins would look different. I will be sure that the other 3 bins I have to make run the same way as the one I built
