Ok Ive decided to pick up an Tacoma Access Cab 4x4 V6... my questions are.. i do not know what the difference between each of the packages are... ie... sport package, off road package...sr5.. i will be using this truck to commute around and haul my motorcycle... that is pretty much it...and do some camping here and there... i mean should i even get a 4x4? If i can get any feedback it would be nice. Thanks

None yet- Future: HIDs, Tinted tails, LED interior lights,
Sport Package: Sport seats, 4x2, different wheels and tires, hood scoop, better gas mileage than 4x4,
Off-Road: leather seats or cloth, 4x4, LSD, different wheels and tires, no hood scoop.
i was you if thats all you are doing you should get the Sport 4x2, it can still haul your motorcycle and camping gear and still save a little gas.

4x2: it is just the basic of basic 4x2, no outlet, reagular seats
4x2 Prerunner: (i have this) Prerunner wheels, the outlet in the truck bed, a whole lot better seats bucket captain seats
is it a Access Cab? or a Double Cab your looking at? just wondering002.jpg
    028.jpg
oh and also with the Prerunner i believe you get key-colored Grille and Bumpers as standard

The differance between the 4x2 and the 4x2 PreRunner is that the PreRunner is basically a 4x4, without the transfer case, front diff, and front drive shafts.

no you mean it makes it look fast and furious:p. SR5 is basically the same thing as the Prerunner. the Prerunner is also a 4x4 chassis with the 4 (x4) added

How much you looking to spend?? You can get a 4x4 V6 without the SR5 or TRD packages and save some $$ and still have a truck completely capable of hauling your bike and camping.
I use my 'non TRD, non SR5' 4x4 to haul my quad which includes minor offroading and I have no problems with it at all, if you have no need for a locker or LSD (09 comes standard w/auto LSD) then skip the TRD packages. If you like having convenience items and extra accessories then get an SR5 non TRD (I think all TRD's come w/SR5). Check out this page http://www.toyota.com/tacoma/options.html for 09's, other years have some minor differences in the packages/options.

Don't forget the most important part. Auto insurance is much higher on a 4x4.
