GOD NO!, don't trim! Just ditch the switch!

Go to Aironboard.com or CH4x4 and get a bitchin OEM style switch to replace it. It'll cost you maybe $20

Goo gone didn’t work for me. Used the wife’s nail polish remover and it wiped right off.

I've been eyeballin' those. Never had them before. Is there a noticeable benefit? Keeps rain out when window is cracked open?

Not the OP. Rain guards are usually the 1st mod I do on all my vehicles. They do allow air in when raining but for me I always have the windows cracked open a bit in the summer to keep cabin temp down.

Just get a small Toyota push switch from CH4x4. I have a pic on my home computer that shows how to mate a CH4x4 switch to the ARB harness. I can send it to you later when I get home from work if you're interested. Let me know.

Honestly I just like how they look. I rarely crack the window open when its raining but it does block rain from coming in if you do open your windows a little bit in the rain.

They would work to keep the rain out if the window is cracked. I've used it for this, only because I can. I mostly have them because I like the way they look.

We haven't been that far south yet. We have taken it down to Waves and Ocracoke. I have looked into going there but since Covid, it has been tough to get into any state park during the season without reserving months in advance.

Thanks, Canyon makes a really nice bike and costs at least 1k less than comparable equipped bikes.

I work from home and haven’t really driven it. I did some hard pulls after installing and can’t say I noticed any gains, but the sound is amazing. Truck only has 1200 miles and 1k was driving it across state towing, so I don’t know how “fast” the feel of the truck is.

overall, it was still worth it to me. I was able to get a deal with some December coupons for $300 shipped. The install was super easy and I love that the box is enclosed w/ a reuse-able filter. You can hear it sucking in air from the optional installed front air vent port when accelerating low end which is cool. Truck sounds like it should when flooring it. Haha.
