I heard El Randeezy installed a 5hp disposal in the drain just for that reason. Thing sounds like a wood chipper when it kicks on!

He should have gone with the larger motor. Those mullet locks are getting quite long now that he's civilian scum.

How much bigger do you want?! Standard garbage disposal is 1/3 horse! 5hp is enormous!

I'm salty the calendar contest is a popularity contest. I don't have a cult following so I'll never win. :pout:

At least Betty White deserved to be in there.

To all welders. Do you own or lease your home welding gas tanks? How much to buy or lease, which ever is applicable. How much to fill? Assume a 80 cubic foot tank, 75% Argon, 25% CO2.

    TIA

Everyone I know who DIY welds at home, just bought their tank, though I can't speak for El Randeezy.

I started out owning an 80 because that’s the largest I could own from my supplier. I was going through it too fast so I leased a 390 cf. It was about $60-$70 each time I swapped the 80, plus the initial $220 ish cost of the tank.

The big boy is $120 a year lease and $110 to fill it.

I hate to say it, but the gas company is having their way with you sir. Every time I fill my 80 it is right around the $40 mark. Highest it ever was was $45 and lowest was $36. The tank itself only cost $125. Not trying to stir the pot, just trying to give helpful insight.

It varies per region, that was pretty apparent in the welding thread when we were discussing prices before. Regardless though, those are some damn good prices you’re paying for C25.

I figured there would be some variance between us, but I honestly thought we were close enough to each other that the difference wouldn't be that large. Guess I was wrong. I was completely shocked when I took my CO2 tank there to get the first fill and a barbecue tank and they told me I owed $27... I looked at the lady and said "I also got a propane tank filled as well." She replied "yep, I got it".

Dang, that’s awesome. I pay about that much just for my 15lb CO2. If I was doing a whole lot of welding I would shop around for a better price but this 390 tank has been going strong for a year and a half now and it’s still plenty full. It’s pretty wild.

Randall is definitely the Cult Leader type too. He's sly like that, and uses reverse psychology to promote it.
