So you’re saying all those dudes who straight up tossed their sway bars don’t even get extra articulation because they had a lift that wasn’t long travel?

    Was articulation the objective?

It always seemed like getting rid of that violent side to side rocking whiplash was the goal.

    Letting the IFS work . . . independently . . . was a nice side benefit. :D

But, yeah. The harshness not being there was my main reason.

? the guy who wasn’t you that I quoted was talking about articulation, so I asked a question.

What people buy and actually use it for is no concern to me..

Yes. I was talking total articulation. Not a single word about the SB.

No, I read it. I not arguing yet. I’m asking.

You said, you would be limited by CV angles and need a long travel. I’m making the relative leap that with that logic, removing the sway bar all together without a long travel gives you no articulation because of the same reason then..

On that leap, the SB removal or disconnect has no effect on even bumps. Just stating the obvious.

Flexing, I believe that it gives more on uneven bumps across the IFS. To know for sure, it would have to be measured. Coil rating and SB thickness (30mm on all but Sports and Pros which is 32mm) could affect it. It would be a fun nugget to know.

I like to believe that I have more IFS flex without the SB. I know that I have more flex out back with my leaf packs because I was able to measure it.

Just restating the generality that we do not get more total suspension travel with a typical lift.

Yes they will absolutely allow more ARTICULATION from left to right, but don't get that confused with actual suspension TRAVEL.

Interesting and a nice learning experience for me. I thought that what you said was only true for the spacer lifts and not a true suspension lift. I have a lot to learn

Understood and thank you for even more i sight. So, these truly do add noticeable articulation?

I guess I was also curious on peoples experience with longevity and if these caused and unforeseen issues. I use my truck as my DD to work, and these always seemed like such a nice compromise on a jeep. I was linked this thread from another threat because I mentioned disconnects seemed next to non existent for Tacomas

They worked great when I had them, but now I just run 700LB extended travel kings, and don't use a swaybar at all.

Some of the stuff is mind blowing. Like even if 33s or so clear, you still need to full stuff them and account for that when trimming.

The easy route is staying with 32s. :D

One of the hardest things for (totally new to this) has been figuring out the difference between people and websites stating they are “clearing” tires and actually clearing the tire when being used wheeling.

I got my truck used with 32 Wildpeaks on them, and don’t plan to upsize until I find they limit me!

Yeah. It is very hard to tell.

For a DD, it will be had to find the limit with 32s. Pucker will find you.

    Figure I'd post over here.

We installed the Overland Custom Designs swaybar disconnects yesterday. Had some conflict with the Total Chaos Spindle gussets, but a Milwaukee 90° die grinder with a cutoff wheel made that go away.

If you are considering these, I'd check out the 5 year review over here

Edit: these didn't work unclipped with the spindle gussets
