That sounds about par for the course, at least with what I was paying. You could always look on marketplace for a used tank to make the initial purchase cheaper.

Yeah, bedside sliders. They would pass through the bed and tie into the bed bars/cage. Then maybe some up front too that follow the line of the wheel well and go from bumper to slider.
