Years ago, I forget when (maybe 2017...?), my friend and former teacher @Gwyns04 invited me to speak to special needs kids in the program I used to be in. The last time I did this in person was 2019, we did it virtually in 2020 because of COVID, and then this past year we didn't even bother...

Anyway, there was this one guy in Gwyn's class; I forget whether he was on the autism spectrum or had some other issue, but I have psoriasis and it was particularly severe on my upper forehead at the time. I also nowhere near as open about discussing it as I am now; This kid kept not only asking about it, but he was doing so really loudly and drawing attention to us. I understand that he had special needs and absolutely no social skills, but even someone with issues should have gotten the hint on the second hint to shut the f*** up; I forget what I said the first two times, but on the third attempt at engaging me in conversation about the weird red mark on my head, I ended up snarling at him that it was a skin condition and that I did not want to talk about it. He got the message that time. I have since gotten it under control a lot better, and I am also less self-conscious about it and far more willing to discuss it openly these days.

but she's on the spectrum like you said, so maybe that's a big concern for her? perhaps she's been puked on a lot, whether at amusement parks or otherwise.

as far as why she's still texting you, it's probably because she views you as a friend and thus friends text. You should see how me and my best buddies text each other...without knowledge of our relationship, you could pull random snippets and think we're in love, that we hate each other, or anything in between.

I don’t know why she keeps texting you?
    Maybe ask her?

As for puking, that’s an easy fix.
Tell you aren’t going, that way you can’t puke on her. Take the money you saved and spend it “cars”.

Or don’t, and keep trying to figure her out. It’s hard enough to figure out what the hell I’m doing half the time.
I quit trying to figure other people out a few years ago.

I was doing barrel rolls in a fighter jet simulator when I was 10, and I amazed the adults who were waiting in line...

    :curls:

I know the majority of people on TW probably believe me, but it's convincing this girl that I'm not lying; We're talking about triggers that are likely exacerbated by being on the autism spectrum...

One of mine is being called a liar or otherwise being accused of making shit up!

I understand you are on the scale, and it’s not easy for you to take advice as others can.

I think you are getting way too worked up, over “proving yourself” to someone.
If she’s that worried about it, she should not go with you.
Or she should invite you, and let you “prove” you won’t puke.

“Who will puke at an amusement park” , isn’t something I’m going to let upset me.

This may not even happen; I simply suggested when she said she liked rollercoasters, and she ran with it...

Some guy who killed his wife was found to have downloaded this song and listened to it multiple times; It was used against him at trial!

I suggest to cut ties with this woman.

    Move on.

BTW, I've known my wife for nearly 40 years......I still can't fathom her thinking and logic process. Although, I do know when the important life and family decisions arise.....we are always on the same thought or conclusion or action path. I know we both arrive to the decision by different means, but the final is the same. My point, you may never understand a woman.

Also, you need to quit obsessing about this. Move on.

Excellent. It is quite a process and requires swallowing a lot of pride. I thought I'd marry every girlfriend I ever had. Looking back now, I clearly was not ready. Any of those would've ended in disaster.

You'd be surprised, though I agree there's a subsection of ladies that you're completely correct about.

My wife..yikes. Doesn't spend $5 on herself if she doesn't have to. I'm the spender in the marriage. Most expensive thing we spent on for her specifically was last summer, her surgery..between the actual procedure plus redoing part of the house for it cost several thousand. Before that..probably 3 years ago buying a 5 year old Rav4.

The reason l had small amount of them was for using them in the garage or home improvements.

I absolutely agree. But, nowadays it seems like there are way too many people who will jump at the chance to take advantage of other's.
It's either you're scum, or you're not. So I'd rather be one that's not.
