What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The slippery powdery snow made for perfect A-TRAC conditions this weekend.

 

It’s beneficial for sure. I hadn’t ever used it much but with how slick the conditions were it took me through places where I would otherwise need to use a lot more right foot.

 

Installed extended brake lines. Next have to do new bump stops and cut those u bolts shorter

Inspired by another members project, built an articulating mount for the solar panel.

Now i need to wire it all in.

 

Nice use of a RAM mount!

Check the hood too. Mine was a little loose and would clunk. There's some rubber bumpers that it rests on when closed that may need to be adjusted. They're threaded and will take out any minor sloppiness

Are you happy with the job they did, what did they charge?

 

I’m extremely happy, they were very professional, asked if had questions, walked me through the process… it was $150.00 and the price is locked in for whatever vehicle you bring in, for future servicing, at least at my location. My truck is a southern truck and I just moved to a snow/salt state, frame looks great and I want to keep it that way. I highly recommend them!

 

It's a game changer! My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

 

Don't forget the HKB alternator voltage booster so you don't shorten the life of your shiny new AGM, mine is in the mail right now.

I (may have) killed 2 X2 Power batteries prematurely (fortunately they have the best warranty in the industry) due to not charging at the appropriate rate, X2P actually starting putting the voltage requirements right on the top battery sticker now.

AGM's need a higher charging voltage.

HKB has a small slot in fuse like module that ups your alternator's output to keep your new battery happy and healthy for a long time.
