@crashnburn80 has more info than you could ever want detailed about it in this thread.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-northstar-agm-battery-voltage-booster-upgrade.604478/

I (may have) killed 2 X2 Power batteries prematurely (fortunately they have the best warranty in the industry) due to not charging at the appropriate rate, X2P actually starting putting the voltage requirements right on the top battery sticker now.

AGM's need a higher charging voltage.

HKB has a small slot in fuse like module that ups your alternator's output to keep your new battery happy and healthy for a long time.

Added 4 vintage Cadillac Caddy (train) A D C F tones horns today. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a proper wiring harness completed in time to get to hear them today but that is coming up. I wanted to keep it clean but as noninvasive as possible. So yes those are rivets holding their modified brackets in place. I will reach out as to their ability to provide a solid ground/hold on them should they prove unreliable over time.

More research on my dash wiring project. Found out that both ECM connectors (2012 and 2014) use the same terminals even though the connectors are different.
Now I can just pull the terminal out of one and insert it into the other.

Still waiting on the ECM connectors. :pccoffee:
Calling Toyota tomorrow to see if they showed up.

Tried my hand at applying vinyl to the roof. Word of advice, don’t use Vivvid. Super difficult to work with. That being said I used their forged carbon.

3M has something similar in appearance called "Shadow" have it on my hood tailgate flares door handles and fuel door.

Best picture I have right now, doesn't show the pattern too well, it's more matte and the pattern is a more consistent camouflage like shapes than the shiny chaotic of the Vivid so preference may take priority in your case depending on your personal tastes.

3M actually makes a gloss/matte “forged carbon” now too. Of course I found that out the day after I ordered the vivvid, go figure. I’ll definitely use 3M next time.

I have some cut/burnt wires that I wanted to fix along with cleaning up the wiring for my navigation/backup camera/steering wheel controls and also add wires for future lighting switches, GMRS radio, power mirrors, etc.

I wanted to order the same part number harness that's in my truck but it has been discontinued. I found a part number online that would work but when I got it home I realized the ECM connectors were different (truck is a 2012, new harness is for a 2014). I then found a part number for a harness that fits a 2013 truck that will have the correct ECM connectors but that is also discontinued.

A big plus with the 2014 harness that I'll be installing is that is has the correct connectors for the navigation head unit already so I won't need any adapters.

(ext. cab truck harnesses with the correct ECM connectors have also been discontinued)

Key is correct. I ordered my HKB Voltage booster from Australia right before the pandemic hit. It takes about 2-3 months to get and ship but it is worth it. An AGM battery like the X2 power ( I have one myself) needs a charging voltage .5-.7 volts higher then our 2nd gens can produce. It is very easy to install. You just take out one of the fuses under your hood and replace it with the booster. It tricks the ECM to up the voltage a little to make sure that the AGM is being charged at the right voltage for longer life. My gauge in my truck shows a constant charging voltage between 14.3 and 14.6 volts.

Where did you find such? I'd like to find a male and female connector for the E-locker so I can make a anytime harness without splicing but only found dead ends thus far.
