At the rate you build guns I would submit that punch set would be a good investment. I'm not being a smart ass

The only thing I have actually ever used a punch for was the front take down pin. It's more of a pin than punch

Clevis pin was the ticket on the M4's but the M5 was a different animal. Just a straight pin

Should have some pretty decent comprehensive test results once I can get back out to the range. And run comparison groups

If I remember correctly you also got the 150grain power shocks. Yes this is going to be fun to see. You have the 18" Ballistic barrel also correct? Sorry there's so many different things thrown around on here I can't remember it all. This is the exact buld I am looking at

I haven't decided between the stainess or the black barrel yet. You know as well as I do they can all react differently but your info is still a great head start. I'm still curious, as I know you are to find out what the resolution is to the low gas problem. Hopefully it's a simple fix.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
So I ordered out this on-line build kit. DPMS components.

'Seemed like an OK outfit. They said "Everything NEW IN BOX"

This is NOT what I expected.

with a 7 oz buffer, Where should I expect the brass to land? I'm hoping for 2 oclock, but 3 o'clock will be fine.

    ;-)

I don't think I would have expected that myself. I am assuming everything is there? Or am I missing something?

    Sorry... kind of..... ;=-)
It's a tease! (Perhaps the smile at the end was missed)

All the elements were gathered from multiple vendors over a rather long period of time. Nothing good comes quickly.

It's just one of several projects that clutter my bench, and I thought some might find it amusing.

Yes, all the parts are in there. It was all together a while back, but I broke it down to tap the select fire retention spring hole for a set screw, and to flute the barrel.

I'm torn though. Do I want the lightened barrel on the optic only chassis (low profile receiver) or do I want it on the iron sights execution. (High PIC rail)
And then, should the SS barrel be fluted and lightened ? or should the parkerized barrel fall to that role?

Good thing there are others. These decisions take time!external-content.duckduckgo.com.jpg
