Quick Video of the Meso Customs Total Tail Stage 1.

I didn’t want to mess with buying bulbs and wonder if they’d cause electrical problems so I opted to shell out the cash for this kit.

I like it so far. The video above illustrates most (if not all) of the functions.

I forgot to test the turn signals while in reverse which I’ve read causes hyper-blinking.

I plan on getting TRD PRO tails at some point so it’s a nice option to have to just swap them over.

Not I, so I personally don’t care if it does.

lol. Just thought it was funny. Props to whoever did the homework to find that one out, but it's not even on the test

I just installed this kit last week. Having an issue with the right turn signal hyper flashing, but not the left, and not when the cautions are in use. Probably need a load resistor?

Otherwise they look great and way cheaper and easier than new housings or trying different led bulb combinations.

That’s strange.. mine are both fine (as seen in the video).

Just for your information, I have the OEM LED Headlights, Morimoto Side Mirror LEDs and this kit installed.

EDIT: I don’t know if the polarity matters for these bulbs. If it were me, I’d try and flip that bulb around.

Looking at the turn/reverse bulbs from the outside, the amber diodes are on the outer edges and the white diodes are on the inner edges.

I have a 2017 SR AC so I don't have the fancy led lights up front lol. I'm swapping out the signal bulbs on the front tomorrow so we'll see if that makes things better or worse. I think I may just need a load resistor.

I sent MESO an email about it so hopefully that's the issue, all signs point to yes, and if they have a load resistor in stock I can get it quick.

    Oh yea, those people...

Kramer parking in Seinfeld comes to mind.

Sorry, I guess it's a thing. I can't remember the last time I needed to parallel park or when I was in a busy downtown area that only had street parking like that.

Installed mine yesterday and had the exact same hyperflash issue, sent MESO a note as well Went ahead and ordered load resistors anyway.

I installed this kit almost a year ago. I love the way it looks and feel like the brighter lights and real yellow turn signal is way better than stock. Probably adds some safety due to being more noticeable too.
On my SR5 it would hyper flash on the left turn signal only. I ordered the load resistors and installed on both sides and it's been perfect since.

Never tried the turn signal whilst in reverse. As said that is something you wouldn't ever do unless you parallel park, I probably do that 2x a year

MESO said most likely a hyper flash issue. Ordered the load resistors today. Also swapped out amber leds in the front housing. Now hyper flashing on both sides. I wonder if the resistors are on a circuit for the whole side or if the front and rear are separate circuits and thus possibly need another set of resistors for the front?

Also disappointed because I bought dimmable leds that were supposed to be dimmer when drl is running and brighter when turn signal is in use but it appears to be just as bright as drl as when turn signal is on. Might be better though, the normal drl seemed too dim to me. We'll see.

Not totally sure but I think each side is a separate circuit, like it is on most vehicles. example is if the bulbs are even regular incandescent, if the front left signal bulb went out the left rear would hyper flash because there is less resistance on the circuit. depends on how much resistance the load resistor ads to the circuit, it may add enough the you don't need them on the front too to compensate for those leds. try and see.

What bulbs did you install in the front?

They arrived a day early. Got them in no problem. However they're still hyper flashing but I believe this is an issue with the front leds not having a resistor because when I swapped back in the regular bulb up front the hyper flashing stopped.

Looks like I'll need another set of resistors for the front. The saga continues
