I edited previous post to add this on, but you were quick in responding! I think Pros have been slated to start delivering in February, so the earliest allocation I've heard so far is december...someone correct me if I'm wrong, but for those who have been waiting 6 months for Pros, it's not like it could even be delivered or allocated until recently. This is kind of a question for the thread more than a statement.

It was mentioned earlier in this thread (not by me), Mountain States Toyota. They're one of the few MSRP dealers around here, and have been very good to work with (other than the wait, which I don't blame this for).

I bought my 16' Tundra from them, no issues! I did call them in Dec when I was ready to order and they told me 6-8 months so went with Groove since they said 2 months. I do have to pay the $499 dealer handling more though.

Every dealer I talked to in the area about a TRD Pro Taco had a 10K adjustment (and I'm pretty sure that I talked to EVERY dealer here, including Groove...but I wouldn't claim to recall that for sure as once I talked to Mountain States, I liked them and stuck with it). The penalty for picking the Pro I guess. Glad to hear the Tundra purchase went well from them, hoping for the same.

Yes Groove and MT States both had 10k on the Pro which is why I just went with a loaded OR.

Was thinking just this after walking out of a dealer last week. Couldn’t think of a thing the dealer was doing - there was not a single car for sale. A couple you could look at (but already sold). Don’t even think about test driving a vehicle.

They are simply taking orders, all at msrp of course (which in this environment for some vehicles you have to consider yourself “lucky”). Meanwhile, they can provide no info on when or if they can even get the vehicle in.

Went with a friend last year to get his Tesla and it was such a more pleasant experience - straight forward, no dickering around with prices or options. Order exactly what you want, easy test driving experience.

Another innovation Tesla has brought to the auto world - more efficient distribution.

MT States was where I went because they told me MSRP...if that ends up not being true (I didn't get it in writing as this was what they told me was policy there)...so if that ends up being different, my level of annoyance will be, well...high.

Actually, blame Toyota, not the dealer. They are at the mercy of the Toyota allocation system. Toyota decides who, where and what with their vehicles…unfortunately.

Got an update for everyone (Trail Edition):

12-4 - started contacting dealers, getting on lists, waiting for allocation

    1-7 - allocated

    1-11 - built

    1-13 - shipped to port

Salesperson says it will be here this month. I had them remove all port options, so my time in port should be shorter than most. I estimate, based on shipping distances, I could even possibly have it late next week. Definitely this month though!

Ordered a MGM TRD OR DC with premium pkg, tech pgg, and TRD lift for $46k which I thought was not bad considering it was the same MSRP as last year for a '21. The dealer did tell me they have yet to see any premium options yet which has me worried since I am already 2 months in. Anyone rec'd a 2022 TRD with premium pkg yet?

I have one that was supposed to be built 1/11 so i don't have it yet, mine is a MT which was harder to find with Premium and Advanced Tech. My dealer had 2 when he called a Silver and a White which I took.

I requested a 22 TRD OR DCSB in Lunar Rock with the tech package and LED lights but without the premium package back in August. Was told in October that it had been allocated, but a couple weeks later when we started discussing all the details I couldn’t understand why the price was so high. Turns out the truck they got allocated did have the premium package. Ultimately I decided to pass on the truck mainly because of the price, but I know somebody else here on the site ended up getting the truck so they’re definitely out there!

I just got what I hope will be the last update before getting the actual call that my truck is ready to be picked up. My salesperson said my truck should be to the dealer between January 15th and the 17th.

It’s been a long wait - just shy of 5 months now, so fingers crossed no additional delays and I’ll be in my Lunar Rock DCLB TRD Off Road within the week.
