I received the new Anker MagGo Magsafe phone charger system for Christmas and it is all I could have hoped it would be so far. It is 7.5w rather that Apple or Belkin's 15w but it still charges rapidly and the magnet is really powerful. My iPhone case sticks like glue to the magnet over road bumps and potholes. This being said I rarely travel on dirt roads or off-road so cannot speak to truly rough rides but for my around town and occasional off pavement driving my iPhone 13 does not move at all. Additionally, even though the Anker set up has an about a 6" arm, it had some very minimal vibration movement. I placed a silicone cable holder as a "bumper" between the arm and my dash and the small vibration is pretty much gone. Only thing that could make it better is not having to run a charging cable from the base of the unit to the cigarette lighter outlet, but I'm not drilling any holes or tearing apart my dash to run the cable behind it. If I have to give it some kind of scored rating, I give the Anker unit 4.5 out of 5 stars. I think this MagSafe charging unit is as good as it could possibly be for my Tacoma.
Sorry if this post looks like an advertisement, that is not my intention.

I was reading about this one and how it has a lot of great benefits vs most others.

    If anyone wanted more info

This is where usb-c is tricky. They advertise it as qc3.0, but it doesn’t list the 9@2.2 standard, just the 9@2. So instead of 20W it’s only putting out 18w. I think they might be saying 3.0 when it actually isn’t. I’ll see if I can find the video, but a guy was testing how the MagSafe reacted to different power bricks, and the usb power draw meter he was using showed the old Apple 18w brick stepped down quite a bit where the new 20w didn’t.

Someone else asked this as well but where did you mount it? I just got the same one and having trouble finding a good location for best adhesion.

I mounted it on the dash about 5” back from the vent. Working well for me.

Reviving this thread. I have this component here:

EDOTech Ultra Compact USB Direct Hardwire Adapter Kit for GPS SiriusXM Radio Dash Cam https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I3P6QQG

I then put in a USB A to C adapter and have that hooked up to my MagSafe charger. For some reason my MagSafe isn’t constantly charging it will cut out and then charge again and cut out and charge again and it will last the duration of my trip. I ordered an adapter for a 12v charger and it should get here soon. Hopefully that fixes my issue. Not sure what else to do other than run it the traditional way in front of the dash

Wanted to share another option for those looking. I own the VeloxCreations magsafe mount from Etsy. So far it's been holding up great for me. Very minimal and clean look w/ the hidden magsafe cable. Magnet is super strong too: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1532718702/toyota-tacoma-magsafe-mount-for-3rd-gen

    Nice!

I recently installed the MagSafe from Mous. Mounted it to my taco garage dash mount with the taco garage usb C power connection module. Robust magnet and MagSafe charging. But it too seems to update the charging connection every 3-5 minutes so I suspect it’s not continuously charging.
