1/22/2022 Philly cheesesteak meet interest

I’m going ice fishing.

 

If I can make it I'll join too if that's cool. Grew up in West Philly (Overbrook Park) and need to run up to get some paperwork done maybe this weekend (1/21-22). Need a good cheesesteak!!!!

 

We just did VA to AZ in three days. Seems the longest part of the drive was getting to I40

COVID: Wife works in a hospital. All the hospitals in the area are full. About 80% of the cases are Omicron. Of those, 50-60% are not vaccinated. The "break through" cases are recovering for the most part.

That being said, Omicron is much more contagious than previous variants, but it's symptoms tend not to severe. Reports are saying that some symptoms are mild or not present in some people, so you could have it and not know it.

For the gatherings, indoor or out, N-95 or KN-95 masks are highly recommended, as are vaccines, including the booster shots.

I want to go to this. I've had my booster about a week ago. The only reason I'm hesitant is the part about having it and not having symptoms. My wife works with these patients. She could bring it home and neither of us could know thst we have it. If I can get there, and my schedule is clear as of now, I will be masked up.

Well, s--- hit the fan this week so my plans got canceled. So sounds like I will be around that weekend and should be there!

I'll definitely bring a portable propane heater if it's going to be cold out.

 

Any chance someone could pick up a bed cover for me and bring it to the meet? It's located in Hampton Roads, VA ... pretty far south
