What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I have an '04 and been treating my frame with Fluid Film for years. I've switched to this stuff. Once it sets up, it makes a nice waxy film that last a good while.

I have a 22 Pro coming, at some point. Admittedly, I was hoping to be done with treating the frame. Thought that issue was resolved.

 

My freshman year of high school was the last year they allowed 18 year old kids to smoke on campus.

 

Picked up five of these from the FedEx store. Should hopefully be able to have tires on come Monday.

 

Damn I like those wheels.

 

They look pretty good. I'd like to know some of the specs. Specifically dimensions and weight.

 

I'm super excited to get them on the truck. Dustin at FN was absolutely awesome to work with.

I'd been playing the SCS waiting game for months. Their Instagram baiting game was getting annoying and when they do get stock in every other month (which if you're lucky might actually contain what you want) it sells out in literally 30 seconds. I was over it... And wtf happens if I need a spare wheel? Not something I wanted to mess with.

 

Bolted on a TRD skid plate this morning. No picture but you can close your eyes and imagine what it looks like.

The TE37's are realllllly sexy but my wallet wasn't having none of that

 

Finally remembered to take the stupid dealership license plate covers off the truck. When it warms up I try my hand at removing their damn decal. I don't want to give any free advertising to Tufankjian Toyota (Braintree, MA.). They suck.

They look good, and I guess that's the important part, but the voice in the back of my head is going "but they're only about 1 lb lighter than your stock wheels." Same with the Five-stars probably. Rotational weight is kind of important to me, especially on a truck this heavy (4,500lbs), so if I'm going to put better (and naturally heavier) tires on it eventually I'd like to keep the parasitic losses to a minimum if I can.

 

I was in a “craftsmen” class in high school and we installed the giant concrete sand filled ashtrays in the smoking area. Different times.
