Good Morning. I've had spinal injections over the years; they said chiropracting would be harmful to me with degenerative disc disease. Isn't it fun getting old?!

I'm not looking forward to using my push broom once again to remove snow . Lowe's did send me a shipping confirmation saying my new snow shovel could be delivered sooner but we'll see

It sucks were I live now which is in a new home community which is still well under construction . The street I live on is not even at final grade and man hole covers and grates are exposed along with back filled trenches . This means no plows can get in here to clean the streets

Good morning everyone. Happy Friday! Looking forward to seeing kids and grandkids in the morning so we can finally celebrate Xmas. The effin virus screwed up everything. Even my 1yo and 2.5yo grandsons tested positive over Xmas. Now that everyone is (relatively) healthy they're coming over in the morning!

They are now saying 8 or 9 inches of wet, heavy snow in my area. That's substantial, especially around here where there is nothing but hills and bends/twists & turns in the roads that follow the contour of the terrain, them there hollers. Every year I get behind some vehicle with bald tires as it tries to pull a steep, snowy hill. Inevitably, they spin then stop blocking traffic, often in both directions, and you are left in a line of vehicles with nowhere to go.

I have a gut feeling we're gonna get hammered here with this storm. So my weekend plans will look something like this. Take my Crosstrek to my daughter for her to use to get to work on Monday (she has a rear wheel drive Kia Stinger).
Get the snowblower out of the shed. Fill all gas cans. Clear my driveway Sunday nite/ Monday morning. Load blower in the truck. Clear daughters driveway. Load blower in the truck. Clear parents driveways...yes, plural. And one of them is about 1/8 mile long.

 

Throw a tarp/painters plastic drop cloth over the Taco then peel it off once the crud stops falling from the heavens. I'm always surprised at the amount of people that still haven't figured out that the wiper arms hinge forward, off of the windshield, to keep the blade from freezing to the glass during a winter storm.

I have no idea what's forecasted for my area, I gave up watching 3 different weather channels local news outlet and each had a significantly different version of what is going to happen. When I wake up and look out the window at the mess, then I will know.

I have a MS "Teams" interview at 11:30, I hope this pans out. I was so disappointed at the last job offer when they listened to my counter offer then never got back, it's very discouraging.

 

And btw, not complaining about it. I love playing in it!
I've always said that I'd rather get a foot of it than I would a couple of inches ( I know, I know...that's what she said)
