When is the last time I heard about a Toyota diff failing with no provocation. Ummm, about never. As mentioned above, a good used unit (with warranty) should be a good fix.

I came across a girl's dating profile once that included something like "I like guys who drive manual transmission cars and let me shift."
I almost edited mine to include my manual transmission status, but decided it would come across as tacky to the other 99.9% of girls who will see my profile.

By NOT mentioning my manual transmission in my profile she did NOT swipe right on me so we never met and she never shifted my gears for me. Who knows what could have been...

When a person can control a motorcycle with both hands and both feet.......then you have something.

    Otherwise.....just another vehicle.

HAHAHA I was thinking the exact same thing an hour ago. By page 2 the thread was about MTs instead of the OPs diff failure.

I was shifting a Honda 3 wheeler at 5 and on a dirt bike by 8. Riding a motorcycle isn't some great feat either...

Since this has become a MT circle jerk I figure I'll insert myself by saying I do Crossfit. Want to make sure everyone knows that... I also have a MT car just need to become vegan to complete the circle.

If you want to mess with someone in trying to figure how to drive a stick . Have them try and drive a vehicle with a Verti Gate shifter or a vehicle that has had the transmission face plated or converted to a Dog box set up :rofl:

Have you ever driven a motorcycle with a rotary gear box? Adds an extra bit of mental effort.

Never. From a quick search it looks like it lets you go from top gear back to first or first to top without clicking through the gears in between? All of street riding has been on mid 90s and new sport bikes.

Let's be honest though, the OP is not likely to give us the rest of the story or the eventual resolution.

BTW, I do stall every once in a while.

Yep, it goes from N, 1, 2, 3, 4, N, 1, 2... Oh, and if that wasn't screwy enough, to shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd... you step down on the shifter. To go from ...3rd to 2nd to 1st you pull up with your toe... Makes switching from my other bikes very mentally tasking.
