Can you achieve this albeit to a milder amount with ONLY the pump? Can't dive in with both feet till I win the lottery.

The reason I went with JDFab is not only for what they offer. They are one of the few out there that I would trust not to push something just to make a sale. As Harry said if you do one thing to a Tacoma the Howe set up is at the top of the list.

I drive a class 9 with no power steering and the stock Tacoma feels like butter.

Yes the pump kit by itself will be enough. The slide rack is another level of fixing the weak rack problem not so much related to what the pump does. The pump is a quality of life issue.... the slide rack is a luxury item

Correction. The slide rack is a necessity if you play hard. The pump is a necessity if you enjoy not having your hands numb from feedback. The summer before the slide rack I broke 2 racks on 315's. Fast forward a year and I'm on 37's with the slide rack and pump and zero broken racks pushing the truck harder than ever. Once the rack its self is booted, this will be an absolutely bullet proof setup. The lack of boots is literally the ONLY short coming of the slide rack.

It's unfortunate because this is literally the only reason I didn't buy it. Everything else about it is awesome.

I’m limping things along until it all comes apart. Then I intend on pulling it all out, and figuring out a solution on the bench. Just too damn hard with it in the truck to dick around with building stuff.

That's what I want to hear. I'm not running 315s yet, or really plan to any time soon, 34's will probably be the turning point of whether I want this to become a toy only, or keep it streetable. Also comes down to whether I get a gas getter to daily. But bump steer has been stupid on this since the beginning even on stock tires. I'm only on 33s now, and I finally ditched the sway bar so the bump has only increased. (I know, super unimpressive )

You don’t have bump steer, you have feedback

While we are on the topic of steering. I’ve read a ton on quickeners. Is it true they add a bit of play at the wheel?

How much is a little? Right now my rack is clapped out and I have about an inch of side to side. I can handle a little. But what I have now drives me nuts.

Haven’t heard this mention but slide rack is new to me. I like what it does and understand how it beef up the steering but what I haven’t been able to figure out is the maintenance that it requires or is it burn it on and don’t worry about it. Can you chime me in on it?

one day the front of my truck will get the jd catalog for now I am just collecting parts here and there. But the slide rack may need to be done soon so I can cut up the frame at the same time doing pivots.

How are folks addressing the burn off of the paint inside the frame once you are done welding? I think I saw a flex tube with a 1/2 sphere spray nozzle. Wondering if there is a better method.

    thanks
