Full size dodge or gmc 3500 are way higher than a stock Tacoma with a 1 inch lift.
Plus the Trd pro has fogs with its massive lift.

yeah but if you notice, the fogs are only in the bottom half. And the TRD lift is actually only .4” more I believe to 1.5.

I agree with you idk why 2500s have fogs - would have to look into the DOT laws. I’m just calling it how I’ve seen it explained.

Just heard from my salesman that the delivery date for my black trail has been pushed back from today to 1/31. What’s interesting is that it was built 12/18-20 and has been “in transit” for a couple weeks. I’ve even had a real VIN for a bit. Maybe they are shipping them slower because they send a certain number all at once—I don’t know.

I have to admit I was getting excited about possibly posting the first picture of a delivered Trail edition. Guess it wasn’t meant to be!

Edit: Salesman just texted me that all the Toyotas are stuck in port. Since I’m in Idaho, that means the trucks shipped from Mexico are sitting in a ship outside some port in CA.

sorry to hear - no clue why that happened, seeing as mine was just built on Monday and is already on its way to port.

Weird. It’ll be interesting to see if it’s like a shipment problem or a port problem. I’ll keep you updated on mine to see which it is. We are different distributors though.

oh wait your port is California? That’s Idaho’s? different port than me

I have a deposit in for a lunar rock trail. Although you all seem to be getting WAY more info than me, ive never seen a temporary vin or tracker or anything other than a call around Thanksgiving saying the truck would be delivered towards the end of January.

Im supposed to get an update on official pricing and delivery date tomorrow. But supposedly they are selling it to me at MSRP :fingerscrossed:

I’d ask them if they actually got an allocation for it. If they did it should have a temporary VIN. If they don’t have an allocation that can’t guarantee anything.

And I’d try to nail pricing before it comes in so you have more leverage. Have them print you a quote sheet showing total out the door costs that you can sign for msrp.

Just talked to the salesman, looks like delivery is similar to everyone else 1/31-2/7. My final price is $42,049

edit: the dealer is removing the cost for the all weather mats, we spoke about that option long before we knew what was included with the package.

For those who didn’t see…we are starting to see some photos of real trucks, but they’re coming with the air dam from factory…they made a huge deal about how these were going to have those deleted to increase approach angle in press release. I called Toyota and they had no idea what I was talking about but agreed that was weird.

Additionally, cool to see how it looks in AG and SW.

Hopefully who ever has got one of these had set the dealer straight in reference to the OEM lift from factory and no air dam I would make a big deal about it.

I’d say they still come with everything described. The trucks in the posted photos do appear lifted, I think it’s just the air dam. Only seeing our trucks in person will tell us what truly it’s like. I absolutely will be taking off the air dam but will try to get dealer to do it during PDI

    Nothing major yet.
I was given a vin for my truck before it was built and once it came in it was a different one. Pretty sure that’s somewhat normal.

right, but the headlight cutoff has always been SR5/OR. Had to save some stuff exclusive to OR I suppose. I agree if I could’ve paid the $485 for LEDs I wouldn’t have thought twice.
