Anybody ever have issues with trying to use Bluetooth, when I try go to the Bluetooth section on the Entune head unit it says microphone is not connected and the little light on the sos button on the headliner is not lit up either. I’ve had this issue for awhile now and never thought much of it since I mainly use Apple CarPlay with wired iPhone connected. Microphone works fine during calls but no matter what I do can’t connect Bluetooth devices to my truck. It’s worked in the past before so I’m not sure what’s going on, No changes have been done to the head unit or anything electrical that I can think of. I read online disconnecting the battery for awhile can fix this issue

Anyone got any suggestions I’ve tried searching on here and google but all I can find is to disconnect the battery or pull the dcm fuse

    thanks

Stab in the dark but check the 10A DCM fuse in the fuse box under the hood (see yellow box below).

Okay so I think I’m losing I did that at first too, under the fuse box lid there’s a couple spares so I replaced the 10 fuse but that didn’t work, so I went back and did it again after your comment but that fuse was again?? What did I do with that fuse? Lol we’ll I put another one in entune promoted for an update and dcm logo was live. Here is a pic also of what my fuse box looos like it looks like everything is in place unless I’m missing something.

updated entune but still got microphone disconnected

Update: Just took it to dealership after trying everything they tried resetting and doing battery reset and nothing so they ordered a new head unit we'll see if that fixes the issue. I'll post back w/ what happens

Any update on this? Tried to connect to the radio via bluetooth and got the "microphone not connected" message. I have disconnected the battery and reconnected it and I'm still getting the same issue.

Were you working on your truck at all before you started getting the microphone not connected message?

No, Just happened randomly one night. The problem went away for a couple days when I disconnected my battery, but it reappeared a few days after. I tried disconnecting the battery again, but the problem is still persisting.

I get a sort of similar problem every now and then where the microphone will work fine for one call and then stop working. Says connected. Shutting off the truck and restarting takes care of the problem but you can't really do that driving down the highway.

Also tried reseating the connectors on the back of the radio hoping that it was just a loose connector, but still getting the same notification.

@Ttyler3 I started getting the msg "Microphone not connected" after I installed a remote starter. Could that have done it? I checked the DCM fuse, all good. Unhooked battery overnight, still no luck.

Run the diagnostic from the head unit. Do the following: AUX start the truck by just pressing the ignition button/turning the key to AUX. press and hold APS on the radio head unit and simultaneously turn the headlights on then off three times. You’ll get a screen like the one I posted. Doing the steps above but holding down AUDIO will show various error codes.

I’ve narrowed mine down to a bent pin in the 25 pin connector. Just gotta get the pin and replace it.

I also am getting the same message after installing a remote starter this past weekend. I’ve tried a few things I’ve seen online and YouTube but nothing.
