Anything customer service oriented in Alaska is pretty terrible when they know there are no other options.

It is what prevented me from buying a new vehicle for 40 years LOL.....
Bought a Tahoe from Llithia a few years ago, fortunately we haven't needed anything from the dealer yet. They may be worst. Seekins is at least locally owned but they dont have a stellar rep either. I actually had high hopes for Kendall and thought we were off to a good start. I sure hope this Toyota lasts as long as I am expecting. I usually keep vehicles 20 years, maintenance is always cheaper than replacing... IMHO

Are they still around? I left AK in 2011 after 20 years there.

Not sure why you would pay top dollar for a new Tacoma then remove TSS?

I get not wanting TSS, but I think it’s nuts to drop that kind of money on a truck to go straight and remove such a massive safety system.

Deleting TSS is modifying the truck. If anything related to that safety system fails, Toyota is not covering it.

Kinda like lifting your truck and putting on larger wheels, then expecting Toyota to pay for a blown transmission.

If I could have bought one w/o it I would have, I was told eliminating it was simple.

I didn't delete, the dealer did, their responsibility not mine. FYI, not a very good analogy....

Ahh I see. Toyota wanted your money. That’s what it boils down to. They spew whatever bs they can to get you to purchase.

There might be a way to install aftermarket cruise. But honestly I wouldn’t mess with it. Consider selling the truck and buying a pre TSS vehicle.

It’s modifying the truck away from factory. Toyota corporate will fight a claim related to that system.

This makes no sense, they are in the business of building selling trucks, for this they expect money in exchange, is there some other way to buy a truck that I dont know about? The cruise control and associated items is all part of Toyota, their rules, their equipment, their techstreet, their TSPs.... They just dont know how it all works. It is impossible for me to make them or anyone else do something they dont want to.... I only want them to fix it, as they should.

I didn't modify anything, the dealer did as per their TSP, are you not paying attention?

That was the least of my bad decisions. I dumped $25k in mods within 6 months of owning it.

    What an arrogant response.

You don't understand your own questions, and you still don't understand what you asked the dealer to do.

You really need to work on your comprehension of big words.

    Good luck!

You are the only person I've seen use the term "constant cruise" for a function simply called "cruise control"

    I don't need to.
