thank you, it's been great for me so far. Used it every trip, and the seals are all still good with it.

    Those old colemans are legit.

FIL has old school lanterns; I always use battery. Until I see someone fire up an old propane lantern then I'm like "shit I wish I had one again"

If it did it would have to be one big ass tsunami lol. Pretty sure they just mean the coastal region of LA county.

I’d google up Coleman 425e, looks like there’s a bunch of YouTube videos on those.

I’ve got it’s brother the 425F. Good stuff from back when Coleman was made in Kansas

We have that exact same Coleman, my mother in law gave it to us. She bought it in the 70s and used it once, then stored it. Still looks new, but needs some work I think. I've tried using a few times but the pilot doesn't want to work and the burners won't stay lit most of the time. Runs on white gas

My little $20 butane stove from Wally world is my favorite burner, super easy to use and always works.

Guess that's where the frustration comes from.

When I had a Husky way back, she'd eat the most random things...even off a shelf if she could get to it.

Hours later, she's got the squirts and it gets all over her fur. Pretty shitty stuff.

It's actually a myth that CA will one day fall into the ocean, the San Andreas fault isn't the kind that works that way

Strike-Slip Faults tend to occur along near vertical faults. The plates move sideways past each other. The San Andreas fault is a strike-slip fault. If it were a normal fault there could be the possibility of California breaking off into the ocean. However this is not possible with a strike-slip fault. Because San Francisco and Los Angeles are on opposite sides of the fault, they move towards each other with the plate movement. In fact, they are moving two inches closer to each other every year, the same rate at which fingernails grow. In millions of years they will be next to eachother.

So in reality we're getting closer to NorCal

Sorry to say for the rest of the US

Never knew that about the fault lines though, interesting.

That's all assuming there isn't a big ass quake, or multiple, during that time.

Apparently, another hotspot for earthquakes is northeast Arkansas/south Illinois.

    Natural ones or?

I know the Midwest gets quakes now from all the fracking/drilling that's done out there

Apparently a "not so well known" or talked about fault. Reading about it, looks to be natural with many recorded cases going back past the 1800s.
