Bilstien 5100, 4/5th notch experience

Anyone running 5100's on the 4th or 5th notch. Members always say it'll ride harsh but I'd like to hear experience from people who actually run them that tall. How's the ride?

Thinking of using the 5th notch since my front end is sagging from sliders & skids, using anything lower would probably only return my front end to stock height.

 

I'm running 5100's at a 2.25" lift (not sure on the exact notch as a shop did the install) and the ride is fantastic. But I also have a sport where the stock ride was like a stagecoach.

 

IMO you’ll be fine with weight up front

 

I am running 5100's on the top notch with the 1/4 spacer on the drivers side and I am 100% happy with my setup.

 

Only if you have weight.

I hate driving 4/5 5100's on any Toyota. Way too harsh for me. It's not a 1978 F250, it's supposed to be enjoyable to drive.

 

Anything on the rear?
How does it sit? Bro? Rake? Level?

I'm same as you. Definitely better than the Hitachis the sport model came with

 

Running 5100s at 4th with AAL (short) in back. Rides better than stock IMO. still have about 1/2 to 1 inch of rake

 

I am running a wheelers 1.5 inch single aal, and I have a slight rake.

 

Also check the drivers side front axle to see if there is alot of play in it, if so order the ecg bushing. I had to have mine be placed because of the vibration.
