I still need to do a cab mount chop. I had the caster set +4 on the upper control arms, and had to trim and heat gun the inner plastic liner. Got some rubbing on the body mount on tight turns.

They do look more aggressive for sure, especially since I went from ATs to MTs. I think 295/70 17 would also be a good option.

I’ve ran a few different MT and AT tires (not the Yok’s tho). IMO, around town there was not much of a difference. It was on the interstate that I noticed it more. More so the noise level. But depending on the actual tires you choose, it may not be too bad.

Except ST Max’s. They rode like rocks around town.

Anybody have this tire in a 255 and make the switch to 285 or vice versa? I'm torn. Price is $20ish difference, 5 lb difference, and 255's are 0.4" taller. I've read through the skinny threads multiple times as a guest before joining TW, and just not entirely convinced theres enough of a difference besides looks to matter (for a street queen).

edit: truly only considering 255 for a chance of not needing CMC, really no other reasoning. Any mpg difference would seem miniscule at this point of the build. 17x8.5 -10mm wheel specs

I'm was kinda wondering the same scenario. I have 16x8 and wondering how a 255/85/16 would look. I've seen the 255's on a 7" wide steel fj wheel, but not an 8" would like to see how that extra inch will stretch the sidewall a bit.

I have 255/75/17’s. I ended up getting them to save some weight and avoid a CMC. I have them on 17x8.5” wheels with -12mm offset. Truck has about a 2” lift with the eibach stage 1 and icon AAL.
I’ve run 255’s on my last 2 trucks and have grown to prefer them. Here’s a couple of pics.

Looks great. I sometimes regret going 35s due to all the rubbing but at this point there’s no going back haha

Has anyone run these and Wildpeak MT’s? I currently have a set of the Falkens that came on the truck when I bought it. They are about half worn so I’m interested in any comparisons anyone has with them.

Did you end up deciding which tire size to go with? I’m on the boat as you and can’t decide lol

Hey, very nice. I just picked up a 460, do you have any links or social media so I can check out your build. I'm excited to start modding mine.

I'm on my second set, still love them. 35s, 5.29, lockers, KDmax Pro Tune. Drives like a freaking dream.

Thank you, I feel that. I’m sure over time I’ll go up a size or two(when I feel like going all in with a CMC and new coil overs).
These trucks are just an ongoing project and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
