Not sure if it's been mentioned a dozen times in this thread yet but hey have you guys heard you can stop your fob front transmitting a signal?

Step one: press the lock button twice then hold.
Step two: shove it up your ass.

Yes, I actually tried turning off my fob and that lasted only until the next morning when I went to get in the truck, grabbed the handle, and forgot it would not open because I had locked/turned off my fob! So that went out the window! I really want a security system like my old Prolock that came in my old 1996 tacoma and was installed by the dealer on all the cars on their lot. You had to plug in a computer chip for it to start. It was easy and it worked. My wife still has it on her 1996 RAV4. They dont' seem to make them anymore though, but it was a good thing...

LOL....I saw the title and was going to chime in on having to constantly get my kids to jump out and give my old '69 VW bus a push before jumping back in after I popped the clutch.
    Nope :p

All they need to do to steal your truck is get the door open. They don’t need to clone a fob. This helps.

True, but it's an added layer. If they don't have a sawzall they'll see the club and move onto an easier target.

Nope. They’re not going to want to cut through the steering wheel. And cutting through the bar adds quite a bit of time on scene.

Bottom line is if there’s an easier target they’ll choose it. When my truck was stolen I asked lots of people (cops, garage, insurance) what they recommend and they all said this.

Lol. Wait till it happens to you. Sure there’s insurance but it’s a HUGE pain in the ass and you may not get what you want back.

Incorrect. Cutting through that steel bar, not the steering wheel, takes no time at all with an 8tpi blade. I just through a piece of solid 1.5" steel bar with one in about 5 minutes

There’s a big difference between 1.5” mild steel and a club shaft that’s a fair amount harder than a sawzall blade.

Dude you're just misinformed. Look up what an 8 tpi or better blade is designed to cut.

Either way, unless they aren't equiped with the right tool and blade, a Club will discourage most thieves.

Carbide or diamond is the only thing getting through chromoly. May be able to do it with a sawzall but better bring a bunch of blades. In scrapyards they don’t cut them off, they use massive bolt cutters. In any case it adds time on site and noise - lots of noise.

I mean, he's not wrong. Most of them are looking for an easy steal. Most times they just go around to certain vehicles and if the doors open, that's the one.
