Yeah it’s a cool little truck. I think it’s great you can still get roll up windows in modern vehicles but I’m a weirdo

Cleaned up the spare center bezel, and removed the few broken pieces it had -

    20220115_160447.jpg

Took out the old one -

    20220115_161513.jpg

Swapped the good pieces over -

    20220115_162843.jpg

And now I've got an extra wood trimmed bezel -

    20220115_165212.jpg

And how it looks inside -

    20220115_164532.jpg

No more clashing center console and bezel now that it's all black.

Way easier than taking the wood trim off. Smart move.

Went to Lowes to grab the stuff needed to fix what I though was a clogged hot water supply pipe.... Saw the sharkbite couplings and check valves were on the shelf next to each other. It then hit me that the last guy used a check valve instead of a coupling, and installed it backwards.

    Went home and sure enough...
    IMG_20220115_202118263.jpg

Ignore the two connections right next to each other. It was cold and I couldnt for the life of me get that push fitting to come off. I will fix that tomorrow if Im not snowed in that bad.

Old cut off tubing is for the washer hookup in the kitchen.

How do you like those sharkbites?

My house was updated with PEX and sharkies. They didn't hook up the humidifier or put a sink in the second bathroom and I've been looking at it wondering how annoying it would be to DIY without fucking everything up.

I can't imagine scraping off the wood trim on that bezel.

I have access to a Pex crimp tool from work so I went that route. That and the push fittings are stupid expensive. $8 for one straight coupling versus $1 for the crimp style. I think sharkbites are fine if you always have access to them, but I would never seal one in a wall.

If you only need one or two its still cheaper than buying a crimp tool and going that route.

Nice that looks great. I wish I could convince a certain person to go black! But I ordered a new wood grain one Frome a guy on T4R and it's been a month with no response. I think he is trying to rip me off.

Thanks for the offer. I'd take yours but the 98s are different. Mine looks like this.

I did end up painting my flares today to match my grill. Pretty happy with how they came out.
