Snugtop has something called the Sportsmen package which adds additional reinforcement to the top. I just bought it because you can’t add it later. But it will hold a rooftop tent and your weight of at least two larger people no problem.

Snugtop Rebel, sportsman package. I have had other brands in the past, this one has great quality, and a nice fastening system.1380CD67-A77B-4FCA-B34B-BAD84AD6660D.jpg

I like how you painted the “Toyota” badge on your tailgate handle.

Its been a couple of years. I think it was in the $3k range. Shell is bone dry. I did my research on preparing the bed before install.

Have an RLD. Stainless steel with twice the load rating as the RSI. Still in the same price range. I swap between my rooftop tent and load bars with kayaks. Occasionally I’ll put both on.real fine dust is about the only thing that gets in, have never had water intrusion issues. I never fully sealed the bed though. 294196C3-15EA-4884-9626-3286D4701A3B.jpg

Best? Id go ARE HD series so you can put up to 500 lb on there. The fiberglass one with the internal frame is the one im talking about. Add windoors and overhead lights or it wont be the best.

When I was looking for one for my 16, I came to the conclusion that all the fiberglass models from the big 3 (Leer, ARE, Snugtop) are really about the same and buy from the dealer who treats you the best. I would have bought a Leer, but the sales rep quoted me one price over the phone and another when I got there. I ended up with an ARE CX.

All that being said, you want windoors. Yes they are $450 per, but you want them.

What you can find in a junk yard for $1,000 is a good one :D

It's a LEER with windoors on both side, rack on top, electric lock on rear window, carpet inside, sliding rear window that folds down for cleaning, etc.
