What can one expect to pay

Ive looked up general prices on regearing and front and rear lockers. Figure 2k for both lockers and the gearing is where i get a little lost. Ive seen kits range from $800 to $1500. Just wondering what some of you have paid and what all the final costs were?

 

For every project, whatever your best guess is, more than that.

Doing labor yourself or taking to a shop?

If youre taking it to a shop, then start calling shops, find one you like, establish a relationship. They'll tell you realistically what to expect.

 

4500 all in installed? Give or take.

Mechanic charged 900 to regear my old trucks rear axle after i blew it up, and to install the locker.

 

I've seen right around $2800 to $3200 installed.

Add up absolutely everything you can think of… then double that figure

 

EGGS quoted me right around 2800 with them doing the work.

 

With all their parts? Hell, ill drive there for that work.
